Nova
We're hunting pheasant! (Because RoW doesn't have turkeys...) Any SW wolves are welcome to join.
Morning; Southwestern Blackberry Fields; Freezing fog — 6° F/-15° C; Setting

Nova was aware she'd caused a little bit of friction at the pack meeting. She hadn't meant to, and had to remember that simple politeness wasn't just cause for jealous feelings. She truly was glad to have a home, thankful, even, that the Woodlands wolves had taken her and Camio in when they had few options left. She wanted to return the favor.

While the morning was frigid and her body wanted nothing more than to stay glued to Camio's warm side inside the den, she knew she had work to do. Quietly, as not to wake anyone else, Nova nudged @Camio awake with her nose and slipped out of the den. She had braced herself for the cold, but the icy white fog still caught her by surprise. However, Nova was determined, and little could throw her off once she decided to do something.

Once Camio had joined her outside, Nova headed south of the den. In her earlier explorations of the territory, Nova had discovered a place where the thick trees of the wood thinned out, giving way to a meadow where an arm of the Blackberry Fields stretched south alongside the Thicket of Secrets. It seemed like a good place where they would have enough foliage for cover, but would still be open enough to attract prey.

Nova stayed hugging the treeline as she neared the hunting grounds, though she kept her nose pointed towards the field as she searched for prey. She didn't think they would find anything big, perhaps snowshoe hare or pheasant, but if they were lucky between the two of them they could grab a nice present to the pack.

Camio Zamora

The pair woke up together and left together, and although Camio was not in best of modes with Nova after the meeting he couldn't stay made at her forever. He loved her and it was hard to stay mad at her beautiful self. Yet Camio felt that she needed to know from him that what she did was not okay. Pushing her weight around because he was sitting what might seem "too close" to another girl wouldn't fly by his standards.

"Nova," He addressed her with a soft tone hoping to catch her attention as they walked. "What you did at the meeting was not okay at all. You're, we're, lucky they even allowed us in their ranks. Pushing your weight around and getting all jealous hissy because I'm sitting next to other ladies won't be good for either of us." Pausing he shot her a side glance. "And we both know it." Grumbling softly under his breath for a moment or so after.

Flicking his tail to touch her side he opened his jaws to speak again. "Let's just find something and take it back to the rest of Secret Woodlands." He hoped that would seal up any issues Nova's little thing at the meeting might have caused. The last thing he wanted was being kicked out of a hopeful pack because his beloved dear Miss Zamora had issues sharing Camio's attention. As awful as it was Camio was mentally laughing at his own thoughts on the situation.

"Speech."

Nova

Nova's name, softly spoken, caught her attention. Normally she loved when Camio said her name, but this time Nova was filled with dread before he even said another word. She knew just what was on his mind. She had hoped he, or anyone else for that matter, wouldn't bring up the incident, and this could all blow over without any further mention or humiliation. It was an odd place to be, feeling like her emotions were founded but her outward reaction was not. She wanted to fit in with her new pack, but she was also protective over her mate. But this wasn't her family's pack like she was accustomed to, and she had to pay more attention to the pack's dynamics.

Nova sullenly listened to him as she walked, her face turned away from him as if she were intently focused on keeping an eye on the meadow, rather than just trying to not make eye contact. Her head and back arched low, much like a guilty dog who had gotten into the garbage. "And we both know it." He said, and Nova simply grunted in response, letting him know she got his message but hoping he'd just drop it.

"Sure, lets stay focused on that," Nova added to his last statement, latching onto something to move on. Just then a croaking squack, muffled by both distance and fog, drifted over the frost tipped brown grasses. Nova's eyes flashed across the field, then towards Camio, silently asking, did you hear that?
