This was right – him and Bastet. He could feel it in every inch of his body, from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail; XIX knew that this was meant to be. Although his mind was still weighing on the idea of puppies (puppies!?) he was happy knowing that the raven-coloured female was his, and he was hers. He still missed both Capella and Anastasia – he would always miss them – but he could not continue to linger in the past. XIX needed to move forward, and he was ready to do so with Bastet.
The pair had already been through so much together. After Maksim had discovered her on the brink of death, their bond only strengthened as they spent more time together. They had been mostly inseparable during her recovery, and he was elated when she decided she wanted become a member of Cut Rock River. Since then, she had worked profusely to show her loyalty to Maksim and Kisla – which she was rewarded by receiving the role of Scout within the pack. There had been a brief rough patch between them, when his feelings for both her and Capella conflicted. For her, XIX had forced himself to patch things up between them. He could not imagine losing her – he had already lost two wolves that were extremely close to him, he could not lose another.
Nipping affectionately at her shoulder, the alabaster male matched her pace as a soft smile fell onto his maw, mirroring the one that Bastet wore. Being in love was a remarkable feeling, and Lachesis was grateful that he got to share such a feeling with the raven-coloured female. Her voice rang out, a playful tone holding onto the words as she sprinted away from her. His smile only widened as his pale eyes rolled in amusement – silly girl, did she not know that he was built for speed? Without a second thought he tore after her, his long legs pushing him forward and closing the distance between them. Adrenaline flooded his body as he weaved among the trees effortlessly, his cherry tongue lolled from the side of his mouth. As her dark frame came into sight he lunged forward, his claws digging into the ground as he came up behind her. He nipped at the tip of her tail with a wide grin pressed against his maw as he bounded beside her, his long strides keeping in time with hers.
