sooo sorry for the wait, we can wrap this up soon if you'd like? <3 @Quentin

Her nose wrinkled once more at the name the fiery-eyed stranger gave her beloved ocean. Sea loch, how barbaric. Repressing another scowl, the sea wolf nodded meekly in response. “Sea loch, yes. My family and I lived there and we’ve been misplaced,” she added for explanation, her tail twitching in annoyance at her situation. “It’s a rather peculiar situation and we’re trying to find our way back home.” She hoped that the boy did not ask questions about her predicament. While he did not seem like the type, it did not help to be wary of the sparrow-coloured wolf. He had been seeing figures in the snow and appeared to be the unpredictable type, but she could not judge. She was a strange one herself; she certainly was not one to judge.

“It’s alright,” she responded after the handful of disappointment he spat out, a lazy smile perched across her ivory maw. “I’m sure if I keep askin’ around I’ll find the way.” There were many wolves in these strange lands, surely one of them would know a way to return to the ocean.

Now it was his turn to ask questions. Her brows knitted together as the boy asked about a she-wolf by the name of ‘Sahalie’. He was curious about her whereabouts — but why? Despite her budding curiosity, Niq’x knew it was none of her business as to why the boy was looking for this golden-eyed girl. Perhaps they were friends or relatives — the reason did not matter. However, the only thing that the girl had for him was some disappointment of her own to spew out into the air between them. Poor guy, she thought glumly to herself before giving her voice, mismatched eyes fixated on the older wolf. “No, I have not. I’ll keep an eye out and tell her you’re looking for her if I do.” She did not enjoy giving bad news or feeling useless. Oddly enough, the spunky yearling enjoyed helping others. She almost felt guilty for not being able to aid the sparrow, but then she remembered that he had been of little help to her… so they were even. And that was okay.
