At her silence, he wanted to shift uncomfortably but he forced himself to remain in place. Hopefully, she was just mulling over what to say to him in her mind and not reminding herself of how little experience he had when it came to her pack. Morganna was probably the ideal choice in her mind and he had ruined that for her. Nic did not wish any unhappiness towards his sister and he hoped that sooner rather than later some sort of light would return to her being. When Ele finally replied, he felt the tension ease from his shoulders as he looked towards her. It turned out that he was up to date after all. He let out a breath through his nose and sorted through his thoughts. Pale eyes turned towards his sister once again, his voice soft, "Perhaps, when we are on more stable ground, someone can to Secret Woodlands? We haven't heard from them in months. Last time they were here they mentioned that their female lead...Nina, I think, was stepping down." That much he knew. |

He had still been quite young when Elettra had left them and so he had not gotten the chance to know her. But as he looked towards her now he found that he could not fully understand what she was thinking. Her mind worked in a way that he would not comprehend and all he could do was bow his head in acknowledgement when she responded to his words. They were not an answer to his question, rather a confirmation in what he said. Nic did not want to cause his sister any other grief than he had to and remained silence, pale yellow eyes moving to scan the watery surface in front of them. It pained him to know that this was what it had all come to. When he had first entered the land of Relic Lore he had the idea that the Archer lineage would be stronger than ever and united against anything thrown at them. He would have never thought that the arrival of Adele and himself would have thrown everything into spiral. The fact that his choices had caused his older sister so much turmoil hurt him and he knew that from then on he would have to do everything in his power to make up for the damage he caused. The dark Archer felt as if this meeting was drawing to a firm close and while he wanted to end on a positive note, he was at a loss of what to say. He remained there for a little while longer in silence, searching his mind for something to extend the olive branch with. His voice was soft when he spoke, "I hope you let me know if you need anything, Elettra. I want to be here for you." And with that, if she allowed it, he took his leave. |
