At least there was that. Drama seemed to follow Lach around like his shadow, he doubted it was the Old Man's fault, but damn for a guy who wanted peace and quiet he often got anything but. Askan was glad though, it was clear they'd put up with another shit for a whole life time. They didn't need anymore, at least not now.

Askan supposed the same could be said for the Shallows, but honestly he wasn't too worried. His territory had a lot of high ground they could retreat to and it wasn't as if the tributaries feeding the lake were all that fast flowing or deep. They would be safe, Askan was fairly certain of that.
