So where was she? The sky was clear blue with a sun shining so brightly that it hurt her eyes. She looked away from the sky, standing between the tall grass that was dancing in the cool breeze. Kyrie shivered, she felt cold. How, she could feel the warmth of the sun in her fur and the warm earth beneath her paws. Still, she was shivering like the place was filled with endless white snow. As if the time had stopped when she finally realized that everything she had was lost. The well known scent of rabbit came into her nose. Out of instinct her ears sprang up and she looked for the prey that should be hiding in the tall grass. Her body sank down until she almost touched the ground. Looking trough the green stripes of grass, following the scent of rabbit she founded the brown furry animal that would be a nice meal. If she could caught it, that will she see soon enough. The rabbit looked away and jumped some centimetres away from her. Patiently she waited, slowly she did a pass forward. Another pass, walking on her toes and not making the grass rustle wasn't really easy. Suddenly a shadow felt over her and the field. For a second her brown eyes looked at the sky above her. A huge cloud had moved before the sun. Blocking the light to reach the field, making a shadow. She was ready, once again she looked at the rabbit and ran.
Rabbits, little runners with not so much flesh. It was enough for Kyrie. She had no one she had to share the prey with, she could live on that alone. Her mind was off, her body moved now only on instinct. Her legs ran as fast as they could trying to get near the rabbit. She gave her all, her gaze didn't let go of the rabbit until she would catch it or wouldn't if she was beaten by that ball of fur. The rabbit was running further away, running for is life that might be safe if he ran hard enough. Like she would give up now, Kyrie gave a last shot of power in her legs. Shooting forward she finally got within reach and jumped. Her paws pinned her prey down against the earth. Fighting for his life the rabbit scratched her paws and legs, as soon as her teeth pierced trough his neck the struggles stopped. Her chest moved fast up and down while panting. She stepped a bit away from her death rabbit, the sun was back again and shined warm at her back. As if she wasn't warm enough already. Kyrie licked the blood from her nose. This was how she lived every day from every week. Not aware from the world around her. Hunting when she was hungry and sleeping when she was tired. Kyrie ripped the skin of the rabbit open and began to eat. It tasted quite good, but right now it felt like she was chewing on a stick. She pulled her head back, she knew this wasn't good. Was this something like a depression? Kyrie threw her head in her neck and gave hard long howl. When she stopped howling it felt so, refreshed and better. Kyrie smiled a bit ashamed of herself. Now everbody knew she was here, but it didn't matter. Nobody knew her and she felt a bit better now.
