Skana Coho
Random Event: Willow Ridge, recent rains have flooded your densite.
(OOC: Hope it's alright I went ahead and did the RE thread? I had the muse for it, couldn't resist!)

One would expect that by taking shelter from the rain, one would remain drier than they would have otherwise. As such, the old woman was not sure what to think when the cool dampness of water seeping around her haunches roused her from her nap. After all, she was inside, out of the rain, she shouldn't be so drenched. Groggily, she lifted her head and blinked about the darkened cave, eyes settling on the grey sheet of drizzling rain that enveloped the world outside of the den. It took her a moment to come to her senses, having just wakened, but once she was alert enough to fully take stock of the situation, she groaned.

Careful not to slip, Skana rose to her feet. Dark, muddy water swirled along the floor of the cave, the water reaching midway up the brown wolf's ankles. More water was slowly tricking its way in through the mouth of the cave, but the brunt of the rainfall that had caused the flood had already passed, mostly when she had been sleeping. The cave probably would not fill with much more water currently, but the amount that was there now Skana found troubling.

For a moment she stood, regarding the deep puddle, watching small bits and pieces of leaves and twigs float past. Later, she might realize the implications of those little herb clippings, but for now they went unnoticed. Mostly, she was dumbfounded that this was not the first time a den had flooded with her sleeping inside of it. She snorted at the thought, not particularly enjoying the universe's joke on her. She sloshed her way out of the cavern, looking about for someone, anyone, to lend a hand. If they didn't fix the cave, she figured Willow Ridge would instead have a swimming pool when the Fall rains really set in.

This is after Aftermath.
I won't powerplay Nina so she can post here too if she want ^^

In de dark Den the white woman was laying curled up met her tail over her nose. Dreams held her away from reality. Her paws were muddy as she crawled out of the cold water. She shook the water out of her fur yet it was still wet as before. Rain poured out of the sky, she didn't had to spill her energy trying to keep herself dry. A drop fell on her nose, another one. Like they were aiming for the nose raindrop after raindrop fell right into her face. A bit irritated she backed away, stalked by the rain. Wild Kyrie shook her head to keep the rain away. Large splashed sounded into her ears. Shocked her eyes opened, all they saw was the dark Den she slept in. Still fuzzy from her dream she looked down. Water? 'Hnn..' Maybe she was still dreaming? She let her head down to sleep further but the water gave her a cold kiss. 'Wah!' Suddenly with raised hairs she stood in her Den. Real water! Kyrie shook the drops from her face, dreams were washed away immediately. She patted the ground, who was more hard and solid before she fell in sleep. No it was a brown mash of sand and little stones. Half of her body was almost as brown as Shade. Ears flicked a little, seeking for a other sound. She didn't hear much yet, was she the only one awake? Curious but at the same time wary she moved out of her place. Her hazel eyes soft glowed in the dark as she walked. A sudden movement out of the dark area, startled she shrieked and took some steps back. Just afterward she saw the dark amber looking. Ow, it was her ''sister''. One of the new members yet Kyrie never had the chance to talk properly with her new sister. By accident she had heard her name, if she was right it was Skana. Embarrassed with her stupid fault she looked away for a second. 'Sorry,' she whispered as her eyes drifted at the water. Little twigs she saw driving by. In the dark and with the water covering it's scent she might have seen it as just old twigs coming from outside. 'The Infirmary!' She ran, as good as the water let her, to the open cave. Herbs, plants all what was in reach of the water was floating on the water. Her eyes searched for Nina, if the woman was not awake yet she had to go out the Den. The water may be bad for her injuries, they could cause a infection. 'Skana is the rest awake?' The white woman asked well she fished some of their herbs to safety.

She was dreaming. Narimé knew this only because she would never
be able to take down a bull moose by herself. However in this dream she had done
just that. Groaning happily in the dark den the she wolf rolled from her back onto her side.
Her nose just an inch away from the water; she continued to dream about stuffing herself
with moose meat. Only in the dream her body began to shake and shiver from the cold water
enveloping her in real life. In her dream Narimé paused and looked up at the sun. It was still
shining down. It had been warm out at the beginning of her dream but now it was freezing.
The she wolf could barley stop her shivering. She wondered about it for a moment. Then
closed her eyes and just stood there on her grassy knoll and listened. She heard voices.
She heard dripping; like water falling from the roof of a cave, and she heard a wolfs voice.
She recognized the voice of Kyrie and slowly Narimé woke up from her slumber. Groggily
the silver female shifted position again then began choking on water which flooded her nose.

<b style="color:#FFFFFF">"Wh..what the ! What's going on.!" She spat and sputtered
sneezing out the water from her nose. Narimé picked her head off the flooded floor and
gazed wide eyed at the murky water. Her silver pelt shivering the yearling stood up slowly
noting the waters depth. It was just over her ankles now as she stood and heard Kyrie's voice.

<b style="color:#FFFFFF">"Skana are the rest awake!"

The silver girl looked to her left and saw a rusty black
female whom she had not met before. The scent of Willow Ridge
came off of her though so Narimé wasn't too worried. No, the water was at the forefront of
Narimé's thoughts and worries. She had never seen a flood before and she also had no
clue how dangerous the situation really was.

<b style="color:#FFFFFF">"Hey what's all this?!" Narimé shouted to the others
and turned to see where everyone else had slept. The Skana she wolf was up already.
The yearling guessed that she had come to sleep after Narimé had already fallen asleep.
But where was everyone else at?

Elettra Archer
i have not decided if this should be before or after yoru gets into the pack, since there is a possibility things might not go well with them in the other thread. however poke, if you see this, have him come in if you want, perhaps as a way to 'prove himself'.

A flood most certainly was not on the list of things Elettra would have expected to go wrong for her and the pack when it came to natural disasters. A piece of the rocky formation falling through? Perhaps. A landslide big enough to rouse into their direction? More likely. But flooding? This far from a large body of water and this close to the cliff-side of the Mountains? Certainly not. They were just north of a light flowing river which arced through the forestry, perhaps over flooded by the recent storms and this could be the only explanation Elettra could think of. She wondered now of the Scared Grove, who's home was surrounded by rivers, the pack of Poison whom she believed was somewhere around the Lost Lake and of course, the Creek wolves in the Secluded Spring had already their share of den flooding. Already Nina had to endure this once the year, now another? The irony of it all.
It was the voices of her members which originally stirred her, their words an echo in the back of her mind - an annoyance. She growled, limbs twitching, sloshing through the water oddly which caused a great confusion to her. It was Narime's youthful tongue that got her woken up with a growled "Silence!" of a demand before she realized the situation at hand. "Really?" Came the growl of her words, a muffled tone as she tried to come to terms with how exactly this had happened. Had she not picked this place specifically to avoid such things as this? It was as though Mother Nature was laughing upon her now.
Instantly Elettra lifted to attention, glancing around through the darkness blindly as her eyes tried to adjust to her recent slumber. "Narimé, Kyrie- outside now." She demanded both to the youngest of the pack and one of the smallest, if not the smallest. They were the priority to get out first and seeing as they were the first to catch her attention (their words waking her) it was they she directed her attention to firstly. After which, her attention swept the den, still trying to focus - Koda, Remy, Reed, Shade, Rosealia, where were all they?
Her eyes fell then, taking in the little twigs and leaves which floated around the area, items which she knew well enough to remember the need for them- Nina. "Nina?!" Elettra called, sloshing quickly towards the back corner of the den where the Infirmary was situated. "We need to find her now. The largest of us, help escort her out. Be careful." She spoke as she dug around the hole burrowed within the cave which they slept. It was nearly flooded completely, which was why all the herbs had floated up to the top. Though taking treatment, Elettra doubted Nina would sleep through drowning and only hoped she was around the area and uninjured (or reinjured).

I'm not sure if Nina or anyone else is actually inside or if they'll be joining or if they should be pp'ed in, so I left it a little ambiguous lol

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/bluepups/skanapaint.jpg); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding-top: 15px; padding-bottom: 65px; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;">
Skana made a half turn backwards, senses focusing on the various splashes, growls, and shouts heard in the darkness. It was a signal that others were inside, and awakening. The commanding voice of Elettra was familiar, though the two younger females were less so. Skana's eyes picked about the shadows, and her searching sight caught the once white form of Kyrie, currently spattered with mud, within the darkness. Skana hadn't meant it to, but her silent presence caused Kyrie to startle with a shriek. The murmured apology that was offered went ignored, the chocolate wolf already turned around and trudging back into the depths of the cave.

It was such chaos, inky water sloshing about, sounds muffled, distorted, and echoed against the ochre walls of the cave, and the dark cover making it difficult for the old woman to see just what she was walking back into. She probed at the slimy ground cautiously as she moved, checking to make sure she didn't trip over anything, or anyone. "The infirmary!" She heard Kyrie yell, and the frown that had etched itself over the Skana's scarred features deepened. Those little plants... and the patient they were for finally crossed Skana's sleep sluggish mind. Kyrie's question could only be answered with a grumbled, "I don't know." She planned on finding out, and hoped that Kyrie and Narime' would follow Elettra's command on clearing out. It wouldn't help to have the entire pack bumbling around in the dark. Calling back over her shoulder, she added, "Ladies, maybe see if you two can start on digging out a drain on the outside? I'm going in to check for the others." It wasn't really an order, more of a request, but Skana hoped her leader would not mind her for speaking up as such. But the faster the water could be cleared out, the better.

Crouching as her shoulders brushed the roof, she moved to the back of the den. Her squinted eyes caught sight of a charcoal figure, just barely lighter than the surrounding shadows. By scent and voice she could tell it was Elettra. The crone stopped beside her shoulder for a moment, sighing, "What a mess...". She immediately set to searching, probing about the slimy corners of the cavern with her snout. She hoped that she would not find Nina, or any other wolf, in the murky waters. Hopefully, most would have the sense to exit the flooding den, but there was no telling with someone so injured.

Rose was sleeping silently, rolling around in wet waters without even noticing. It was up to her face now, but her dreams seemed to continue unknowingly. She was actually trapped in a nightmare. She and Narime were hunting along the willows, chasing rabbits, laughing and swishing their tails pleasantly. But it wasn't until Rosealia went towards an unusual looking black-ish rabbit that she realized something was wrong. Yes, it was sunshiny and perfect- but that changed, too, as soon as she lost the rabbit and it began raining. Drenching her. Her dream-self seemed to just want to track down and kill that rabbit irresistibly. The dream Rosealia kept running through the rivers and flooding waters to that one rabbit, which was now floating around. Narime had disappeared, but she saw Shade ahead. She called out to him but he didn't answer. He seemed to in a trance, pacing and mumbling. Confused, Dream Rose padded forward but couldn't help but notice that crazy rabbit inches away. Curious, she jumped on it. That didn't last long because it became a bear and killed Shade, then ran towards the den site where Narime, Kyrie, her alpha, and packmembers alike were lounging.

It was about five minutes later of dream world when she regained consciousness and immediately felt a sense of panic. Her face was totally underwater. Quickly, she flailed around, slipping and sliding on the muddy ground until she scrambled up spluttering and cussing. She was soaking wet. She looked at Elettra and the new lady padding around. Her thoughts instantly went to Shade and Narime since she had a bad dream about them and feared they were dead. "Is everyone okay?" Her small, British voice was directed towards Elettra mostly.

The storms had ceased for many days, but now, it seemed, they were back. And it caused Nina’s one good eye to stay open throughout the entire night. Little did she know she would be put through much of the same thing that she had been through not too long ago. Whatever Elettra had been doing had been working nicely for her leg, but it had not fully healed quite yet. She was happy with herself to see that it had started to mend. Kyrie, a small friend of hers, had been more than happy to, or so she thought, to help Nina through her time in Willow Ridge. The brown girl highly appreciated the kindness that the group had been showing to her, and it shocked her that they had let her stay as long as she was, just as a hindrance.

Her thoughts that night had been interrupted by a cracking in the air. Unfortunately, tonight had been the night Nina had decided to face away from the entrance. The side where she had been blinded. Panic welled up within her as water started to pour into the den. She had hoped to the Gods that it had been a nightmare sent her way, but no such luck had been given to her. This was real and a small voice, one that sounded oddly like Elettra, whispered in the back of her head. That is right. . .call for Elettra, she had thought. Her jaws opened and her head raised, but nothing came out of her jaws in time, not until water splashed its way into her mouth. Her one good eye turned wide and a spurting cough escaped her mouth.

Today would not be the day that she would die. . .not on her watch. Clearing her throat she tried again, her voice hoping to reach the leader’s ears in the darkness. . .only it wasn’t the female’s name she called out. "Koda!!!" she had shouted as loud as she could. There seemed to be only one problem with the name that was shouted. . .she hadn’t seen him, and the fact that he might not be there for her disturbed the girl highly. It was as she were a charm for bad luck. Wherever she went, something bad ended up happening. Her head would swing, trying to find the opening in the darkness, only when she felt the pain in her leg again, did she realize she had started paddling, for the waters had started to rise high in the Infirmary. And that was when Nina let out the loudest howl she thought she could ever muster. One that was filled with high pain.
It seems when you're around, my life is complete.

What does the den look like exactly? Two mouth openings? one leading to the main sleeping area and the other leading to the medical resting and herb keeping area? Or is it one long den?

http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/230/6/f/6fdf36f22e24f95e36c07739cb8591a2-d5bkwky.jpg) bottom center no-repeat; background-color: #003377;">
She heard so many voices. First she heard Elettra scolding her which scared the
crap out of her. Then she heard Elettra order her to go outside. As the silver yearling exited
the den she paused gazing at the water as it rushed in. Worry for the others nagged at her,
but as long as Elettra and the other adults were awake they should be able to get
out without a problem.

Stepping forward she heard the voice of the older she wolf. The dark woman
was telling Kyrie and herself to dig a drain outside. What's a drain? Narimé
got the general idea that she was supposed to dig at something but she had no idea
where she was supposed to dig nor how it would help their situation. However she
obediently slipped and slided on the wet floor and padded outside. Once outside the
silver girl shivered as rain hit her. In a matter of minutes it would soak into her coat
and freeze her. Whining at the rain and at the water swirling around her paws Narimé
padded around the mouth of the den not knowing what exactly to do.

Stopping she tipped her ear to the side. Did I hear a voice just now? Narimé stood
outside the den listening. She swore she had heard someone shout for Koda, but the voice
was an unfamiliar one. She wanted to help everyone in there so badly, but she knew without
the knowlege of what to do that she would just be a nuisance. Quickly the wolf began
pacing in front of the den again. Watching the water pour in Narimé wondered if there
was a way to stop it or not. Maybe I can make it run in a different direction? If I dig
it over there further up then maybe I can make it flow away from the den mouth.
Narimé
had no clue that this was what Skana had actually been talking about. Even so the
girl went to work. She would rather be doing something helpful instead of doing nothing
and watching her packmates flounder around. So she began digging into the soil.
Almost immediately the water began pouring into her little hole widening it and
pouring mud back into her hole. For every three scoops she managed more mud
would practically fill in the hole on her.

<b style="color:#FFFFFF">"Dang it! I need help out here!!" Narimé barked trying to
get another set of paws to help escavate an area for draining the water.

Reed Acoy
His light slumber was brutally disturbed by the sloshing of water upon his face. Lifting his head, the rustic man released a growl of surprise, only to be splashed with more water. A small stem of willow leaves smacked him in the chest, and he lowered his head, biting down upon it. The man quickly exited the den, tossing his head to throw the stem to the side. With his pale golden eyes peering about, he burst into action.

His eyes locked onto Nari, who was digging frantically, allowing the water to pool up in the hole she was creating. Raising a brow, the man waded through the water, legs slowed by the rushing waters. He barged on, though, ears pinned back as he approached the silvery female. Nodding to her without words he began to dig as well, paws working themselves into the now muddy soil. The muck squished between his digits, creating an odd sensation, but it did not stop him. He continued to dig as if his life depended on it. Aft that moment, Reed felt relieved that there were no pups in Willow Ridge. If so, this would be a shitload more difficult.

Elettra Archer
There is a pic in the WR family photos but here: DEN. It has a wide mouth, and isnt so much a 'cavern' as much as a small cave, which is not actually on the side of a mountains. Its large rocks far east of the Drooping Willows, that just so happened to form together to make an area worth calling a cave of sorts. The Infirmary is inside this den, along the far back wall. This is just a hole dug out of the dirt ground. Enough room for a few wolves and a separate small chamber for herb storage.

Skana's suggestion rang over the crowd of her pack mates for a moment and this, Elettra was thankful for. The idea of clearing a path for the water to flow freely out would make all the difference with only the one exit available (however large of an opening it was). The den was located just north of a small flowing river and perhaps in time and with work, they could rebuild the den in order to make the entrance harbor a slope downwards to prevent another natural disaster such a this. Water did not flow up, after all.
A deep grumble in agreement was offered to the deep chocolate wolf which was Skana, nodding as well as she shuffled around the large, open space which made up their den. As she watched her herbal goods floating off with the tides, she secretly thanked herself for accepting Angier's plea of alliance for with it came herbs that she no longer had and would surely be in dire need of.
The curse and splashing around caught her attention then, perking her ears and turning her head towards the voice, which, granted it's accent, could be no other then their newest member, Gabrielle. "As I am aware..." Though she had yet to be certain, for although all her females were accounted for savor her second, none of her males had yet to show their face. Sure, any of the members could have been out for a nightly patrol or hunt and with Remy, it was more likely so.
In moments, the silver youth would call outside for help, in which a red blur past her, hopefully to follow suit in the digging. "Gabrielle, join them." She directed the woman, in which now there would be four wolves outside the mouth of the den in order to try and redirect the flow of the water back down towards the river somehow. Surely, they would manage, for in instants Elettra was at the hole of the Infirmary, the bobbing of Nina's timbered head coming to surface. "Skana, over here!" She calls out to the remaining (or what should be the only one left in the den savor those unaccounted for) wolf, whom was larger then she, to help. "Nina, stop your flailing now, I've got you!" She barks the order so that she may not hinder her still healing limb further and in that instant, dips down to grip at the upper scruff of the woman (offering room for Skana to come up next to and grab the lower portion) and begin to heave her upwards into the heart of the cave.
