Capella had spent the better part of her day in the camp. The comforting pitter-patter of little paws coming from the den, had lulled her into an almost dreamless sleep. In her state, breeze pushed past her, carrying with it a scent that she knew could only be a part of her dream. Opening her sunny eyes, she looked around the forest, the perfume lost in the still air. A pang hit her heart as she found it to be a lie. A sigh escaped on a breath, as she laid her head back to the Earth. Taking comfort once again in the fact that soon she would see the wolf who emitted the aroma she only thought she'd smelled. The off-white girl once again closed her eyes, in an attempt to fall back asleep.

The second time the scent touched her nose, she knew it was unmistakable. It had been too strong to be a figment of her imagination. He was really here! Excitement rushed into her veins as she stood. Catching the perfume again, she set off full tilt in his direction. The obstacles the forest laid out proved to be too easy for the experienced girl. Each fallen tree was just a quick jump, and every branch hanging too low was avoidable. Weaving her way through the terrain she flew as fast as her limbs could carry her.

Breaking through the trees, her eyes fell on a bright white coat, and immediately she pulled to a stop. Her eyes fell upon everything, and him, making sure that this was real. Lachesis had come once again to find her, and maybe today her life was a little brighter. She could even feel her cloudy head getting a little clearer. Happiness rained upon her, and she couldn't even speak. After all, what would she say?

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
I AM SO EXCITED OMG LAPELLA 4EVA
XIX finally had a home; a place where he, and Anastasia, belonged and could call their own. Although the pack they had joined was not completely established, the pair now had other wolves to depend on and bond with. His blue-eyed companion also had an important role within the small group of wolves – Shade had explained to them that his mate (well, ex-mate now) had disappeared, leaving their two children behind in the chocolate male’s care. When the duo had arrived to join his group he had asked Anastasia if she could tend to his puppies, as without milk they would not survive – she obliged, and their acceptance followed swiftly after. The boy had been (and still was) ecstatic – their weeks of searching for the perfect pack had finally come to an end, and they were valued just as they had hoped for.
Despite the blissfulness that came with being accepted into a pack, the thought of Reaper loomed over him, tearing at the walls of his mind to hold his attention. The idea to join this pack had been caused by the large Arctic’s plan to establish some sort of organization in Relic Lore – he had wanted the two wolves to join a pack, to gather followers. Now that Ana had such an important role within this pack, would she seek out wolves to recruit? Lachesis knew he wasn’t going to – this had been exactly what he had wanted, as being here meant being with Capella and Anastasia. He did not want the fiery-eyed loner to ruin this for him; even the thought of losing his travelling partner pained the teenager. XIX had been very obvious about how he had felt about Reaper, and the larger male had made it known that he felt the same way toward the yearling. The idea of Arctic’s being superior to the other breeds seemed ludicrous – it was obvious that his yellow-eyed friend was not an Arctic, so would she be belittled because of where she originated from? It just seemed wrong and Ana could not see this as she was blinded by the idea of being tended to by others. Reaper had brainwashed her into believing that she would be some sort of queen, above all others and worshipped by them. He complimented the blue-eyed girl with pretty words, his tone immediately softening when he focused his attention on her. It made the boy sick to his stomach to even think about it.
Instead, he focused his attention to the task at hand. Excitement flooded his body as he pressed his nose to the ground, tail wagging frantically behind him. XIX did not know if his sunflower-eyed friend had heard about his admittance to the group, so he was on a mission to find her to give her the wonderful news. He finally caught onto her scent, a smile breaking across his face as his long legs stretched forward. The boy had left while Ana was attending to the puppies; as fascinating and adorable as puppies were, Capella was those things times twenty.
A noise ahead caused the lanky yearling to stop in his tracks, brows furrowing as he focused on the direction the sound was coming from. Cocking his head slightly to the left, XIX took a hesitant step forward before the familiar scent hit his nostrils. Eyes widening immediately, the boy waited patiently for the girl to burst through the foliage, his tail wagging so hard he was sure it was going to fall off. Once she appeared his heart filled with joy, warmth radiating throughout his body as he took a shy step forward. Her expression almost caused the boy to choke out a laugh as he approached her, tail still wagging at a rapid pace behind him. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#446819;">“You look like you ain’t ever s-seen a puppy-eater b-before, s-sunshine.”

She allowed her eyes to pour over his coat, ensuring that each and every hair was in place. He looked healthy, and didn't seem to be injured at all. She felt a wave of relief pour out of her, as she had been so worried about him. Whenever they parted ways she was left to wonder if he was alright wherever he was. Lachesis was so gentile, fragile even. There was so much in the world that could put him in danger, and her mind was relentless when it came to the pear eyed male. Her head was always playing out situations in which he would get hurt, or imagining herself out looking for him, only to find that something had happened. Of course the fae knew he had Ana to protect him, but it wasn't her. He was only safe with her, or at least that is how she felt. Now he was here, standing in front of her, uninjured. He was safe, and that was all that mattered.

His voice found her ears, proving once again that this was real. It wasn't a dream playing tricks on her. His nickname brought warmth to every fiber of her being, and she felt the joy radiating around them. "Have you come to terrorize the cubs?" She feigned shock, though she only felt excitement. She missed this. She missed their banter, and his light. Everything, but now she didn't have to miss it. He was here, and she was going to enjoy every second of it. Her tail matched his, swing for swing, and she couldn't help but bound forward to greet him.

Unfortunately, her legs wouldn't allow her to slow down, and her head connected with his chin a bit harder than intended, but she didn't care. Capella nuzzled into his fur, before nipping lightly at his ear and bouncing backwards into a play bow. The smile played on her face as she looked up at him. She certainly planned on spending as much time with him as she could before he had to depart for Anastasia.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
Although the boy had missed his sunflower-eyed friend deeply after they had parted ways, XIX had not realized exactly how much he had missed her until his pear gaze met her own. There was something about the pale female that made the yearling feel completely and utterly safe; she, like Anastasia, was comfort and security. When he was with her, XIX felt at ease and everything just felt right. His blue-eyed companion made him feel similar, but with the Woods fae it was different. There was something about her that lit a spark in his heart and helped fuel the indestructible bond that established between the two wolves. It had been remarkable how quickly their friendship had blossomed during their first encounter, but now that the tawny female had stumbled into his life Lachesis was terrified of her leaving him.
While they had been separated, XIX had worried that she was going to vanish before he had gotten the chance to ask Shade to join their small group. They had promised each other that if they were going to leave, or change locations, they would notify the other, but the worry had still festered deep within his mind. Seeing her was like taking a breath on a cold, winter day; it chilled him down to his very core, but once he exhaled it made him feel alive and a warmth would spread throughout his body.
Her smile was infectious, and the boy could not stop his own crooked grin from widening. The words that fell from her lips caused him to laugh, his tail still wagging uncontrollably behind him as he took a step toward the smaller wolf. The laugh turned into a surprised yelp as she gently crashed into him, her head connecting with his chin as she nuzzled into his chest. His expression immediately softened as he returned the gesture before she bounced back, lowering herself into a bow before him. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#446819;">“I b-believe Ana is busy t-terrorizing them b-because —” he paused (for dramatic effect) as he stretched out a paw to ‘bop’ her on the tip of her nose<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#446819;"> “— you’re looking at your n-new p-packmate.”

Capella was still having trouble believing that she was awake, and this was really happening. No, Lachesis couldn't be here with her right now. He was still off on an adventure with Anastasia, somewhere out in the springs. It was all in her head, a nightmare just playing a trick on her delicate heart. In a couple minutes she would wake up to face the harsh reality that he was still gone. Once again, she would be alone, and her head would be cloudy. Of course she was going to have to travel again after this 'dream'. Already, she knew that it was going to happen, just as it did after every "spell". Golden eyes found pear ones, and she thought that just maybe she could let herself be happy. Even if it was a dream, and she was destined to wake up, for just a little while she could spend time with Lachesis. Then just maybe, she let herself think it was real.

Her smile remained so big that it actually made her cheeks hurt, and she couldn't care less. The pain was nothing compared to the excitement she felt having Lach here. Even her tail matched her mood, swinging vigorously to and fro. It wasn't a problem though, because his tail resembled hers, as did the look on his face. He was her best friend, and even if she wasn't his, the sunny eyed girl was happy; content in the fact that he did indeed enjoy her company, at least a little bit. Her thoughts couldn't help but wonder to his time alone. Had he changed at all? Had he stopped caring for her? Capella knew that she couldn't hold the only place in his heart. He needed room for Anastasia, and his family. Room for himself, and everything else, but she couldn't help but hope that her piece was significant. If she were to disappear, the creamy girl hoped he would miss her, just as she'd miss him. She knew that she was stupid to think that things between them could have changed, but there was no helping her fears. She couldn't just turn off her brain, even though sometimes she wished she could.

His sweet voice found itself suspended in air once again. He stopped after the first line, leaving her to wonder what was going on by herself. Fact number one, Anastasia was with him this time, right? Second, instead of Lach terrorizing the puppies, it was her. Capella's mind filtered through her thoughts, determining what he could mean. Then he finished his statement, leaving her in an almost shocked silence. New packmate? Lachesis was joining up in her group of rogues? The bubble of excitement allowed a laugh to slip through the cracks, though she wasn't sure why. It wasn't funny, but there was no other way to release the joy filling up inside her. "Lachesis! I.. really?" Her mouth couldn't form the right sentences, nor were there words for everything she felt. All she knew was that now she had Lach, and he was safe. She no longer needed to worry.

For now Lachesis had both of his closest friends within a hop and a skip of each other, and that was all that mattered. Until Reaper called upon his blue-eyed companion to join the organization the yearling was content that he no longer had to choose between the two females. He knew that Anastasia was jealous of the friendship of the friendship that had blossomed between him and Capella – although she would never admit it aloud, it was painfully obvious. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt her – or his sunshine. They were his family now and were an important part of his new life within Relic Lore. He had a home now, and that was all he had ever wanted. He and Anastasia had finally found what they had been looking for – her role within the small group of wolves was important, and XIX was ecstatic that another wolf (other than Reaper) saw what he saw in her.
Being here, within the shadows of Spectral Woods, meant they were far away from the lone Arctic and his plans for this strange organization. The boy vowed to find a way to protect Ana when Reaper came looking for them to join him – hopefully, by then, she would no longer want to be a part of his twisted plans. Her happiness was important, and if her being happy meant they had to be separated, than Nineteen would unwillingly agree to it. Until then, however, he was going to do everything possible to make her want to stay within Shade’s pack.
Her smile warmed his heart, sending waves of joy pulsing through his body. She was here, he was here – and they had a home together. XIX was nearly bursting with excitement, his lanky frame bouncing on the balls of his paws as his pear eyes remained glued to the yellow-eyed girl. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#446819;">“R-really!” He chirped as his tail wagged wildly behind him as he stepped toward her, closing the distance between them. Before he could stop himself, Nineteen nuzzled into her neck affectionately, a smile staining his dark lips. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#446819;">“You’re st-stuck with me f-for good,” he added quietly before pressing a quick lick to her cheek, his muzzle lingering next to hers. When he was with Capella, nothing else mattered – all his worries, his memories, they were no longer important. Now that they were packmates he didn’t have to worry about spending too much time with her – they could spend as long as they wanted together and it wouldn’t matter.

Despite the draining heat, excitement built up inside of her skin. She felt as though anything was possible, heck she might even be able to fly with how happy she felt right now. The smile on her face seemed to be perfect etched in her skin for all eternity, and nothing could ruin this moment. Just the knowledge that he wasn't going to leave her again, had her stomach rolling with joy. There would be time for everything now. She would never have to watch as he disappeared into the horizon, or worry if he was going to make it home alright. The off white fae felt more relief than anything else, because now he was safe. He would have a whole pack behind him in case danger struck. Another giant upside to his being a part of her little family, was that now her head might not fog over nearly as much, With him there, he could always call her back down to Earth; Guide her through the fog. Even her nightmares might ease up on her shattered brain. Honestly, she was a mess, but maybe she didn't have to be. As long as her pear eyed friend was there, she could at least feel some relief from her mind's constant rampages.

She let her mind wander to Anastasia, at this point still unsure of her place in the pack. Did he bring her with him? She truly hoped so. Although she had only ever come across the white female once before, she already knew that Ana was a wonderful wolf. She'd had an air of nurturing about her, and Capella couldn't help but be envious of it. Not to mention the fact that Ana had cared so well for Lachesis when she herself could not.

An ever curious brain spilled words from her mouth before she could help it. "Did Ana come with you?" It wasn't like the question was offensive, but anything could have happened to Anastasia, forcing Lachesis to join alongside her family. Although Capella was sure it wasn't the case. If anything had happened to the pear eyed boy's traveling companion, he would not seem so cheerful. He would be a wreck, yet here he stood, happy as ever. No, of course nothing bad could have happened to the blue eyed girl. She was far too intelligent, or at least that is how Pella saw it. Youth still radiated from her mind, and she couldn't see that even wolves with the best survival skills were still in danger of losing their lives.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
The question that fell off her tongue did not surprise the yearling – he had been waiting for his sunflower-eyed friend to ask him about Anastasia. When they had first met XIX had explained to the pale female how important the older wolf was to him; without her, the teenager would not have been able to survive the wilderness alone. (He still wondered if he would have been able to survive with only Pyrrhus at his side.) She had shown him how to interact with feral wolves and had done everything possible to ensure that he was prepared when it came to joining a pack. The only useful skill that he had taken with him after leaving the Reserve was his ability to hunt, everything else had to be tuned or taught to him after he started traveling with the blue-eyed girl.
At first, the boy had been wary of the female – just as he had been with Capella – but the trust that he felt toward the two loners had come easily. Although Anastasia would always remain XIX’s closest friend, the sun-flower eyed girl was now an important part of his life. He could not see his future without them by his side – they were his family now, and would always remain that way.
<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#446819;">“Y-yes, she d-did,” he started softly while plopping his hindquarters down in front of the pale dove, a smile glued to his dark lips. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#446819;">“Shade has asked h-her to t-take care of the p-puppies.” The boy was proud of his companion for accepting such an important role – he had been nervous when Shade had asked her, as Lachesis knew that Ana intended to join Reaper once he established the organization. Accepting this role meant committing long-term, or at least until the puppies were capable of being out on their own. Perhaps she would end up changing her mind when the fiery-eyed Arctic came to collect the two wolves. XIX hoped that she would – being without Capella before deciding to join the group of rogues she lived with had been torture; he could not imagine what it would be like if Ana decided to leave him.

Excitement dripped from her pelt as he confirmed that Ana had followed him here. Although her encounter with the white female had been brief, she really enjoyed being in her company. The blue eyed female had a soft air about her; She was nurturing and good. Everything Capella herself wanted to be. The sunny girl couldn't have been more happy about the two newest members. They were going to fit into her little family perfectly, she just knew it. The second statement tore her apart and built her right back up again. Relief poured off of her in waves that would rival any ocean. The poor pups who had lost their mother, and all of the nourishment that went with her. Karpos and little Adsila, who were both wasting away before her very eyes. Unfortunately because of her age, Capella couldn't produce the nourishment they needed. It wasn't possible, and never before had she cursed her youth. Now she wouldn't have to feel guilty, and the puppies would be able to live on. It wouldn't be long before they could eat for themselves, but right now it was crucial that they had someone to mother them. Anger flashed through her like a wildfire, and she had to talk herself out of it. Maybe Rose had her reasons, but whatever they were, Capella deemed them not good enough.

Her voice was a little broken as she spoke, promising to thank Anastasia later. "She.. I will never be able to thank her enough." Capella admitted to her pear eyed companion. Her eyes found his own, and she allowed the happiness to grip her once more. Anastasia had come to save the day, and Lachesis was now with her. Everything was falling into place right in front of her. The little family she had found as growing all the time, and the cubs would also continue to grow stronger as each day passed. Soon they would be old enough to actually wrestle around, and hunt with the older generations. There would come a point when they might overpower her, and move up in the ranks, but that wouldn't be for a while now. At this moment, all was right in the world, and she reveled in the fact that she would never lose sleep again worrying where Lachesis was.

Another question bubbled from her lips, as she still hadn't learned how to use her filter. This time her head tilted sideways, curiosity actually boiling through her. "How did you meet her?" It was a simple question, but Capella wanted to know. How did their relationship begin? What was their relationship exactly? Were they friends, or lovers; family or something else? She had never asked before, and the most Lach had ever really said was that they traveled together.

sorry this took forever, bb <3
Joy filled his body as XIX realized that because they were part of the same pack they could see each other practically every day. They would no longer have to trek over the mountain to visit – all they had to do was visit each other’s den, or meet up for border patrols. The amount of activities that they could do together were endless, and the lanky boy couldn’t be happier. He had both of his favourites within a hop, a skip, and a jump of each other, which had been exactly what Lach had wanted. When Anastasia had suggested joining Shade’s pack, the boy’s initial reaction had been surprise. Reaper had wanted them to join a pack in order to recruit others to join the organization, but Lachesis had assumed that his blue-eyed friend would want to follow the large Arctic wherever he went. Fortunately, Ana had suggested joining the pack residing in the Woods so that Lachesis didn’t have to convince her that Shade’s pack was right for them.
“How did you meet her?” The boy was thrown back into reality at her question, eyes focused upon her sunflower gaze as a faint smile worked itself onto his dark lips. XIX liked when the pale girl asked him questions, as he enjoyed sharing his history with her. She, along with Anastasia, were the only two wolves (aside from his family, of course) who knew the details of where he had come from. It wasn’t something Lachesis particularity enjoyed speaking about, except when it came to the two females.
“It h-had been my brother, Pyrrhus, who f-forced me to leave the R-reserve,” he started quietly to remind the sunflower-eyed girl why he had left his family behind. “We b-both were not p-prepare for life outside the P-pack, but Pyrrhus was d-determined – he wanted t-to prove to our p-parents that he c-could make it on his own. Initially he was g-going to leave with my other b-brother, Sarpedon, but he had b-backed out – which is why I was f-forced to leave.” A frown had appeared on his lips as he spoke, ears flat as his gaze fell to his forepaws, head bowed. Friends shared… and this was something he needed to share with Capella. “Three w-weeks after we had left the pack, Pyrrhus and I h-had a run in with a strange c-creature. It ch-chased Pyrrhus, separating us… I r-ran… until I c-couldn’t any longer. That was when I m-met Ana. We c-crossed paths when we had both n-needed each other m-most. I n-needed help w-with basically everything, and she n-needed to escape her p-past.”
He paused for a moment, catching his breath before finishing the story, the previous frown replaced by his usual lop-sided smile. “Without her I w-would not have survived on m-my own.” In a way, he had rescued her as well – he had saved her from her past and chased away the memories that threatened to haunt her dreams. Their friendship was similar to his and Capella’s in the sense that it was effortless – they fit perfectly together; her strengths made up for his weaknesses and vice versa. Their unexpected friendship was the reason why Lachesis was still alive.
