She listened intently to his story as words began flowing from his mouth. Capella knew that he spoke the truth of his past, and her heart went out to him. He had lost his brother, his whole family, just as she had. Like her he had spent time alone, possibly wondering how much longer he could survive, if at all. The beginning of their time here in the lore seemed so similar, and she really could empathize with him in this aspect. A pale maw nuzzled against his chin for a moment before images of her brother began littering her head. The dandelion eyed girl wondered where he was right now, if he was even still alive. In an attempt to ward away the thoughts that were plaguing her, she allowed her head to shake back and fourth slightly. No, she couldn't think like that. Not now, and not with Lachesis so close. She wanted to be happy instead of letting her head cloud over. What would he do if she went into one of her dreamlike states?

His story concluded and she felt like she had so much to say, but the words wouldn't come out. She wanted to tell him that everything was going to be alright, and that she was sorry that he was alone and afraid, but she couldn't take it away. There was no way to take his past from him, or fix all the wrong in his life. All she could say was, "I'm glad you two found each other. If you hadn't then neither of you would be home." It was true in every sense of the word. When he was with Anastasia they were home, and the fact that they were both here to stay meant that they were home as well. Here within her little family was where she found her residence, and now that the two ivory wolves were living with her, maybe it was more like home to her as well.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
Home. That’s was what this place was to him now, a home. The days of searching for the ‘perfect’ pack were finally over, and now he and Anastasia could live comfortably among other wolves. Although Lachesis had grown to like being a lone wolf – as there were no restrictions to where he could travel and how long he could be gone for – he knew that his blue-eyed companion was growing weary of the loner lifestyle. She would always need a pack surrounding her, whereas the boy had been comfortable living as a rogue; however, he would never abandon Ana. Wherever she went he would follow – except for Reaper’s organization. The yearling wanted no part of the Arctic’s plans, even if it was what Anastasia wanted. That was where he would draw the line.
“I’m g-glad, too,” he responded quietly, meeting the pale girl’s warm gaze for a moment, a crooked smile falling across his dark lips. “If it w-wasn’t for her r-rescuing me, I never would have m-met you…” Nineteen would always be grateful to his traveling partner for rescuing him – she could have ignored him when they had first crossed paths, and left him to battle the wilderness on his own. Instead, she had decided to take him under her wing and protect him from the feral wolves that XIX believed were out to get him. Everything had changed from the moment Anastasia had walked into his life, and the boy was not keen on letting her go anytime soon.
Nineteen also felt the same about the dandelion-eyed girl before him – she would now be a permanent part of his life. Being around her made him feel different. There was always something to talk about, and even if there was no conversation involved they were still enjoying each other’s company. Now that they were packmates, XIX worried that the pale girl was eventually going to grow tired of seeing him so much… What if she started to find him annoying? No – if that was the case, the yearling knew that his sunshine would tell him. They might not have known each other for that long, but the bond that linked them together was indestructible.

Capella knew nothing of the organization, or what Lachesis and Anastasia were up to before they had come here. She had no idea that their stay with her might not be permanent, or that some day a strange wolf might come calling her friends. The yearling felt as though her family was coming together, and every day they were one step closer to claiming a territory. In her mind, one day Anastasia would mother her own children here, and there would be bundles of ivory running around the camp. Lachesis would hold a title all his own, like a teacher or an adviser, and she hoped the same for herself. The pieces of the puzzle were falling into place, the future was bright and in that moment Capella felt even more invincible, so long as the pear eyed boy was with her of course.

The chain of events that had brought them here were all vital in their meeting. If she hadn't run into Shade she might have spent the rest of her days on the other side of the mountain. If he never found Anastasia, then maybe he wouldn't even be here right now. She was sure she wouldn't have made it this far without her leader. He was there to keep her alive, and she owed him for it. One day she hoped that she would be able to pay him back, for they didn't have the same relationship that Lach had with Ana.

"And you wouldn't have a den full of puppies to eat." Her voice remained light, as she wanted to better the mood. Seeing Lachesis distraught upset her more than it probably should have. After all, he deserved happiness. The ashen male had overcome so much just to be here, and he should revel in it; Capella sure was. Her lighthouse had finally reached her, signaling that they were home. The crashing waves far behind, and dry land under their feet. His pear colored eyes were a sign of comfort, as was his entire being. "Although, if you want to eat the puppies, your going to have to catch me first." She said before bouncing at him, nipping his ear and bounding off in the opposite direction. Her energy had been building in the months he had been away, as she had no real outlet for it, and so she ran with all she had, hoping that he would chase after her.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
The alabaster male was grateful to his traveling companion for taking him under her wing – he would be forever in debt with Ana as Lachesis would never be able to figure out how to repay her for everything she had done for him. He had been surprised when she had agreed to joining the small pack residing within the Woods during their meeting with Reaper, especially since XIX was keen on conforming to her needs and doing whatever was necessary to keep her happy. Although her decision had come as a shock, the boy wasn’t about to object – joining Capella in Shade’s pack had been exactly what he had wanted, only Ana had beat him to suggesting the move.
A chuckle escaped his lips as the long-legged yearling nodding enthusiastically at her first comment, a smile stretching across his dark lips. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:11px; color:#A3A866;">“How’d you know that’s w-why I came here?!” He added a gasp after the words fell from his tongue, while wearing an expression of mock-surprise. “... you’re going to have to catch me first.” Before he could protest, the pale female before him lunged at him to nip at his ear before she darted off, begging the awkward mess to chase after her. Without a second thought XIX sprung toward her, the smile on his maw only widening as he closed the distance between them.
Coming up behind her, the boy nipped playfully at the tip of her tail, long legs stretching toward her as he fell into step beside her. His tail wagged frantically behind him as he pounced at her, forelegs extended to try and catch the yellow-eyed girl to pin her down.

A giggle emitted itself from her mouth, but she didn't mind. It was impossible not to feel happy around the ashen male, as his whole being was infectious. He had a way of consistently lifting her spirits, and making everything ok. The sunny eyed girl decided that she would forever be in his debt, because he could cure her, if only for a moment. His gasp was pseudo admittance, and she took that as a sure fire sign that he was as excited to be here as she was to have him. "Because your a monster" She squealed with glee. It was wonderful to be young, and free, without a care in the world; at least for the moment.

Legs that were long for her own body carried her quickly across the terrain, but she was no match for her pear eyed companion. No matter how hard she pushed herself, he was gaining on her. Before she knew it, he was flying at her with his forelegs outstretched. A yawp flung from her throat as he caught her, and they tumbled together for a second, with him as the victor. She was pinned, and he had won this round, but she didn't plan on letting him get away with it! A funny snarl planted itself to her face, and it probably looked as goofy as she thought it did. Her mouth was twisted between a smile, and the faux anger she tried to place there, as she attempted to wriggle free of his grasp. "I won't let you win!" Her voice carried across the forest, as a fit of giggles erupted from the pit of her stomach.

She hoped that this could last forever. Her and Lachesis -- her very best friend in the whole world -- could play for hours, days even. He never had to leave, and she didn't plan on going anywhere. They could just be the yearlings that they should have been in the beginning, living out the rest of their puppy hood having fun.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
This was what the yearling longed for – to be young and carefree, without responsibilities and rules, and to simply enjoy the remaining youth he had left. Capella was the one wolf who had managed to dig out his inner puppy and access this fun Lachesis that seldom came out to play. Just as he had been with Anastasia when they first met, the boy had been skeptical at first. Feral wolves were not to be trusted, and it took XIX awhile to warm up to stranger’s – the bond between the ghost and the sunny-eyed girl had developed quickly and threatened the one he shared with Anastasia. The two girls would always hold a place within his heart, each one for a separate reason.
A laugh rolled off his tongue as the boy successfully pinned the sunflower-eyed girl, maw hovering inches above the pale girl’s face as he barked in victory. XIX realized that he had an advantage due to his long legs and size, but that didn’t matter to the alabaster yearling. His main concern was not hurting Pella, and as long as he kept his awkward appendages in check they would be fine. His laughter increased as she attempted to wriggle out from beneath him, the boy adopting his infamous crooked grin as he watched her feeble efforts. “Too late,” he announced in a smart tone before sitting down on the bright-eyed girl, his tail wagging frantically behind him. There was no chance of him losing now. .

Fits of giggles were constantly erupting from the pale fae's mouth. Every time one burst would end, another would begin. She couldn't help but think that she hadn't laughed this way in months. Not after she had been separated from her family at least. It was a feeling she found herself craving often though. Her inner puppy was constantly screaming at her, but more frequently she had to ignore it. Capella would never be able to thank her ghostly companion enough for his friendship. It meant so much to her, and the dandelion eyed girl held their bond deep within her heart. He was her best friend, and although she might not be his, it was special to her all the same.

She felt his weight come down on her, and she continued wriggling for a moment. A huff found it's way from her throat as she realized it was no use. He was bigger than her, and her position didn't allow her any room to squirm from underneath him. Finally giving up, she allowed her body to fall limp and let her head lay flat on the ground. The pale she wolf was defeated, leaving Lachesis the victor. "Alright! You win, I guess I have to let you take the pups as your prize." Her tone was a mix between mock defeat and laughter as she waited for him to let her up. A light colored head adorned with a smile brighter than her eyes turned to face him, as it was the only extremity she could move. He looked every bit the winner that he currently was, and it warmed her heart. He looked so happy, and so at home.

XIX was ecstatic at the possibility of doing this (almost) every day now that he was a part of the pack Capella belonged to. The trouble of dividing his time evenly between the two female’s – as well as dedicating some of his time to hunting and scouting for the pack – would come soon, but the pear-eyed boy was confident that he would be capable. He still questioned how prepared he was for pack life, but he knew that Anastasia would help him when he needed it. And he knew that the dandelion-eyed girl he was sitting on would also help him if necessary. It was going to take some adjusting to get used to this new life, as the pale ghost had grown used to the life of a loner after arriving in Relic Lore with his blue-eyed dove. Change was good, though, and he knew Ana would never let anything bad happen to him.
As soon as the pale girl let out an exasperated ‘you win’ Lachesis rolled off of her and kept his stomach to the ground as he turned to her with a wide smile across his maw. His tail was wagging frantically, pear eyes not once wavering from her yellow gaze as he leaned forward to press a quick lick to her chin. Although it was all fun and games, he knew that he had an unfair advantage being much bigger (and heavier) than the lithe female before him. Swatting gently at her maw with a forepaw, the boy rolled again and pushed himself into a bow, hindquarters wriggling excitedly behind him. With a low ‘woof’, the lanky yearling bounced back, daring the female to come closer.

Capella watched as he bounced around, for the first time really looking his age. A giggle forced it's way out as his paw connected with her muzzle. She could tell that he was taking extra care to be gentle, which she appreciated. With her new playmate growing up in such a different way, she hadn't been too sure what he would think of as play. Sure he had bumped her shoulder the first time she had met with him, but it wasn't exactly the same. Often times her own brother was much too rough with her, and things would take a more serious turn.Meeting his bow, she let her tail whip from side to side. It's force was enough to wiggle her hindquarters, making her look even more like an over sized pup. The ghostly male bounced backwards moving farther in one leap than she ever though possible. In comparison to him, she was actually pretty short. Determination moved through her, and she decided that she was going to catch him if it was the last thing she ever did. Allowing herself a slight running start she pushed off of the ground. Her front legs sprawled out in front of her, hoping to lock on their target.Of course if she were to miss, she would just have to try again, as this time she was the antagonist. The ashen male didn't stand a chance, not against her. At least not in this game, when there were no winners or losers, and the stakes didn't exist.

wrap dis up soon? so much has happened since this thread started XD
There something special about the yellow-eyed girl; something that had rescued the sheltered child from the dark corners of his mind. During their few meetings a remarkable (and unexpected) friendship had blossomed between the two wolves. Now they would be in a pack together and Lachesis would be able to see the girl with the sunflower eyes as often as he wanted. They could scout borders together, go on hunting trips – even just explore the territory together. He could hardly contain his excitement as the lanky yearling was elated at the fact that he would be living in a pack with not only Capella, but his blue-eyed companion as well. Nothing could be better, or make the pear-eyed boy happier. Everything was slowly falling into place and finally making sense; the long-legged boy felt as though he belonged somewhere.
Continuing his prancing, the boy woofed tauntingly at the bright-eyed girl, his tongue lolled from the side of his mouth. Without warning, the smaller female leapt at him with her paws stretched forward, taking the gangly teenager completely off guard. With a yelp escaping his maw the boy collapsed under her ‘attack’, laughter staining the air as reached to nip playfully at her ear, a crooked smile perched neatly across his dark lips. Pressing his body flat against the earth beneath her small body, the boy pretended to struggle but was unable to supress the laughter that continued to bubble out of his chest.
