The other stood taller growing more bold, and perhaps if things were different Aponi would have taught her a lesson. For now though she knew that she was not strong enough as she was still recovering from her recent near starvation. Instead she strained her neck just a little bit higher as if to prove she wasn't intimidated by this stranger. Blue eyes stared into the golden of the other wolf in a way that wasn't friendly, more of a mockery of the way most wolves avoided eye contact.
And jesus christ was this woman babbling, on and on about her mother and how she might have been successful. Aponi half smothered a snort that worked its way up her throat when finally the stranger shut up, "No harm no foul," she sneered back in response to it all. really she had been only half listening to the end of her speech because she didn't really care what this woman had to say.
Aponi was bored and she knew she wouldn't be returning with a fawn to impress Mercy, and toying with the wolf before her was no longer entertaining. With an annoyed flick of her tail she flashed her fangs in one last attempt at intimidation to assure this fool wouldn't follow her the yearling turned. At first her pace was slow, meandering back through the broken brush that their chase had caused but as she left the other's eye sight she sped up. It was time to return back to her king who awaited her.
