COME MEET GREER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As the days went by the long-legged pup was growing bolder. Remaining isolated from his brothers, Greer busied himself with his solo explorations and tried to avoid playtime as much as possible. Of course, the slender prince adored his brothers, but he was not interested in their games. He liked doing things on his own, and he felt as though he was able to do more when he wasn’t being distracted (by his brothers).

Today the Archer child decided to explore a little further than the initial boundaries his parents had set for him and his brothers. He wanted to see more. With a burning curiosity fueling his movements, the slender pup began his venture away from the den. Greer knew that after his brother’s brief disappearance his parents were still wary about the Ridge princes exploring. His slender body weaved through the willow trees that drooped over the ground as his bright eyes searched the area frantically, soaking up all of the new sights. He couldn’t believe how much more there was to the world outside his family’s den. Wanderlust nagged at the back of his mind, although he did not yet understand what that feeling was. He wanted to see it all.

However, today wasn’t going to be that day. He would slowly, week by week, venture farther until he was eventually able to go on longer adventures. While he would prefer to go alone, Greer knew that these longer ventures would another – until he was old enough he knew he wasn’t able to explore the rest of Relic Lore (regardless of how badly he wanted to). His movements were slow, as the Ridge prince wanted to soak in as much as he could before he had to return back to the den.

@Greer: This seemed like it would be interesting... Sorry for kinda throwing Kato in here! Maybe @Elettra or @Angier will come along?

There was something on the wind that made the tawny hued boy set a lively pace for the southern parts of the Lore. He was a natural wanderer, and experience made him certain that adventure would find its way to him. As he trekked through a forest he knew relatively well, the scent of a new tree, one he had surprisingly never encountered before, floated to him upon the winds. Changing direction, he hastily left to investigate this strange new tree. Skidding to a halt as he came upon them, the fawn youth became immediately confused. How could it be that these strange trees were so... strange?

Their branches stretched down, not up, as if someone had knocked them all down. Or maybe they were just too weak to stand up properly. Whatever it was that knocked Kato out of the air or towards the ground when he tried to fly like a bird must've put too much pressure on these poor trees. Maybe he could straighten them out... Trotting toward them, he was keenly aware that he wasn't far from a pack border. He would need to be careful not to step over it... It was a mistake he didn't intend to repeat.

Drawing near the trees, he tried to duck under their trailing fronds, but they touched the ground, and he ended up looking rather ridiculous as he tried to squeeze under them. Once inside, he discovered the lighting was very nice in here. For several long moments, he just stood watching the tree, wondering how to fix it.

Angier Lyall

Angier had just been around the territory, following his youngest boy's trail, when a very unwelcome scent stung at his nostrils. This was no Ridge wolf. Nor was it an ally or someone familiar to him. Rogue! his mind yelled and growled. Rogue... Seize him! Attack! Defend! After what had happened to Deacon, the Lyall was not thrilled knowing someone to be so close to their borders and close to the adventurous cub who was a reigning prince in this part of the Lore. He caught up to Greer with footsteps that rustled the grasses and whiplike branches that dragged along the ground. The snarl that he had nearly let loose settled at the back of his throat as he traced his nose along the cub's stark black spine. Even if the brute's scent did not nearby did nothing but add gasoline to the fire that was beginning to blaze within his chest.

"SSSSSSTTTTTTTT," he hissed, the sharp sound meaning to wordlessly scold the boy. "Too far." His tail wavered above in the air behind him, his pale eyes wide and wary as he scanned their surroundings. "Don't ya smell that?" he questioned, prompting Greer to use his nose and test his abilities in olfaction. "There's someone here." His muzzle wrinkled up all along the bridge as he tested the rogue's cologne through his nostrils. "Sit. There." The stare that Angier gave his son was a stern one, a look that commanded that Greer stay put against the base of an old, deceased and branchless willow whose time had come and gone.

The Willow Ridge patriarch followed his nose towards one of the several umbrella-like trees in the area but stopped just short of the curtain. He let out a warning growl, "If yer passin' through, yer not welcome to rest here..."

thanks for joining <3 @Kato @Angier
The shadow prince silently stalked through the territory with his nose pressed to the ground and his ears pinned forward. There was an overwhelming supply of new scents and sounds; so much that they were overloading his system. He could hardly put a name to everything he encountered, but he desperately wanted to discover more. He was so engrossed in his adventure that he had not noticed his father’s scent until just before Angier disciplined the boy with a sharp hiss. Startled, the slender pup scrambled to a stop and turned to his father with his ears pressed flat against his head.

‘Don’t ya smell that?’ Confused, Greer inhaled deeply, his denim blue eyes closing so he could focus on the surrounding scents. He could smell the musky dirt beneath their paws, along with the fresh scent of the trees that surrounded them… there were more earth-y smells that engulfed them, swirling through the air… but there was something else. Something that didn’t belong. It did not carry the same scent of the land… it was different… sharp and … wild. Many scents were attached to it; there were scents that confused the Archer child, scents that he had yet to discover. More importantly, it was the scent of a stranger – an unwelcome stranger. His pale orbs widened at the realization as they landed on his father just as he spoke once more: ‘There’s someone here.’

After being given a stern look by his father, the slender pup remained where he was with his soft fur pressed against the side of an old willow. He was curious as to how his father would deal with an intruder… Huddling against the ground Greer observed Angier’s large frame as he addressed the stranger, his voice hard and commanding. What was going to happen?

Kato Aetomis
"If yer passing through, yer not welcome to rest here..." A hard, stern voice came through the strange tree's branches. Whirling to face the source of the words, Kato scolded himself for not noticing the arrival of another. The voice sure hadn't sounded friendly... But he was confident he hadn't crossed into a pack territory. At least not yet today... He'd made that mistake before, at the borders of Cut Rock River. Luckily things hadn't gone down badly, but the experience of trespassing, even accidentally, was bugging the tawny youth.

"I'm terribly sorry sir, I didn't mean to intrude, I just wanted to explore." Kato rambled on, stepping out of the tree's shady cover as he did so. In full alert mode, it took almost no time at all for the muddy brown and emerald flecked lenses the fawn boy possessed to locate Greer, nestled in the roots of a tree. No wonder the voice had been so cold... He was just protecting his family. Not wanting to seem like a threat, Kato turned to the other wolf. "I am very sorry sir, if I've trespassed. I will accept the responsibility and whatever punishment you deem fitting. Congratulations..." Looking back, the congratulations sounded as if it could've been either a congratulations on having such a strong, healthy looking pup or for finding Kato. Of course, the boy's ears were flattened meekly and his tail and body lowered. He hated submission, but not as much as he hated making new enemies.
