He had been right about one thing. When the dark wolf had stayed in the meadow he had assumed that being under trees would be comforting like being surrounded by cave walls. He did feel a certain calmness within the willow forest. Although the thicker darker cedar woods to the north made him feel even more protected. He wasn't sure why, but the trees here he thought of as dainty. They didn't seem strong even though they obviously were.
Flicking his tail annoyed by the bugs beginning to rise up from the moist earth, Titan sighed unsure of what to do with himself now.
Then a low rumbling sounded to the northwest. Titan's blue gaze looked up in surprise towards the heavens. The sky is still blue! How is it thundering out? he growled darkly within his head while searching for storm clouds. The aqua colored thunderheads were amassing and moving swiftly southeast over relic-lore. Their growls and flickering lights preceding thunder gave the land a beautiful show for those unafraid to watch it.
If there was a storm coming he would have to find a good place to take shelter, and at that moment the dark wolf wished he had the safety of the tunnels to go to. For Titan was terrified of thunderstorms.
Lowering his head, tail, and body submissively as more thunder growled overhead, the young male pushed himself forward and began searching for a good place to hide. He definitely didn't want to be caught outside when the lightning began to flash across the sky.
Accept no defeat, surrender retreat...
