Backdated to 10/28. Read-only thread between Zane & Erebos.

There was no more avoiding what his situation was. Surrounded by blood he didn't want and suffocated by his own sister's jubilance, Zane had attempted to hide away from all that he found himself within. He still yearned to be at Zeta's side, but all she wanted was Erebos, and to see the man healthy and placed was more than Zane could stand. Yet this could not be a permanent arrangement, this wandering the shadows and avoiding eyes that glowed as vibrantly orange as his own. If he was to keep all that he treasured and regain what had been lost, he needed to face that which he hated head on.

He needed to confront Erebos.

Having spoken his desire to his sibling earlier in the day, he knew that Zeta would allow them this time alone. Her hopes were that they might bond, that Zane would discover he had missed their father just as much as she did. This was not what his twin spoke aloud to him, but he could see the fanciful wish within her off-colored lime eyes all the same. The boy hated so much to disappoint her, and so he had to remain confident that within time, she would see the graying man for what he really was. If they spent enough time her, she would realize he was nothing but a miserable failure. She would discard the foolish notion that he could ever be their family, and they would return home, to mother and the pack that had never once let them down.

The sun was dropping rapidly within the sky, bathing the mountainous terrain in purples and russets as he prowled over the cold stone, seeking Erebos. A wealth of words pooled upon his tongue, bitter and burning. He had so much to say to him, and the closer he drew, the more he realized he had always wanted to spit out, hateful coals burning so deep down he hadn't realized they were there at all.

Zeta might pretend that everything that was done was excusable. Zane would be damned if he allowed Erebos to think this reality.
