The heavens were starting to darken as the fiery king began to fall from power and reseed into his slumber, vibrant hues seemed to bleed into one another. The once gray dappled sky was shifting into a clash of colors, the oft silver seemed to melt into a tangerine and canary yellow. As his fall progressed more paint seemed to be thrown into the mix, from a rather bloody crimson until an indigo seemed to join. His reign was coming to an end, his mistress and queen smiled as he fell. Her bright sliver of silver seemed to pulsate as her darkness began to sweep over the earth below.
Old timbers and ancient shrubs mocked the cherub as she seemed to wander with a lonely mission, their outline taunted her ever move until a chilled whine escaped her lips. Coyote-like ears fell to her petite skull, her olive green eyes shifted like the paranoid child she was, darkness would soon rule and fear would soak into her bones. Her mind raced as she tried to remember why she had left the comforts of the enclosure, why she had rejected the idea of mating with an unknown male to bear his children but that was just it. One of the reasons she spent her nights digging, her mind wandered to how a loveless relationship could spark love for children she did not want with this "wolf twenty-three".
Another thought seemed to drift within her mind, a whisper that carried her forward. She needed to find the other half of her soul, a piece that had vanished one night when they were simply yearlings. It was then another whine came, the pale cloud of condensation dispersing with the sound as the child leaned on one of the frozen crystal touched trees. She did not know how they looked in the spring or that they looked any different than their bare limbs they carried now. A soft huff came from where a whimper had earlier, her vision closed slowly as she tired to regroup herself. Her fear needed to be controlled if she wanted to moved any further.
