Afternoon: Sunny 17 ° F, -8 ° C
Arion is basically in the eastern part of the woods at the base of the mountain, so super close to FTC :D if this doesn't work for you i can change it so it's closer to the lake! <3
He was much further than he should have been but Arion didn’t care — he enjoyed exploring. The smudge felt guilty or not spending a lot of time with his mother since she had returned to the pines but he couldn’t stop his wandering spirit. He was also concerned by the absence of the wonder twins — it was unlike them to be MIA for so long. Being optimistic was getting to be very problematic when everyone around him seemed to disappear. A frown cut into his lips at the thought as he weaved through the trees. He needed a distraction.
What had pulled him to the trees at the base of the mountain was the memory of two wolves he had encountered with Ember at his side. They were siblings, close in age to himself and his partner in crime, but that wasn’t what stuck out. It was the sister — he could remember how pretty (and outspoken) she was and Arion was hoping that he would bump into her on this little excursion. There weren’t that many wolves his age that were out and about like he and Ember usually were, which made it difficult for the youth to make friends.
The afternoon sun threatened to peek out between the branches above him. Feeling the warmth on his back was like welcoming an old friend — it had been too long since the sun had lasted for more than a few hours. Spring was well on it's way (which also meant more future playmates!) and it pleased the little smudge. He wasn’t so fond of the white stuff that still littered the ground. It was cold and damp and stuck to everything! It was, however, an excellent thing to play with as long as he had the appropriate partner (like @Nalda). The russet girl was growing more comfortable in her surroundings and was becoming a worthy opponent. A lop-sided smile grazed his features as he traced the bottom of the mountain with his steps, his dark body keeping to the tree line as he searched for the scent he vaguely remembered.
