For @Ravenna
Her encounter with the magpie had been fortuitous indeed, but she wasn't about to go rushing into the jaws of wolves that simply shared a name with those she had wished to join with elsewhere. Perhaps there was a reason they had come so far to establish themselves? No, she would need to learn more before she went tying herself down. That wasn't to say she wasn't trying to draw one out, a hare left here, some mistletoe there - she was making no secret of her presence it was only a matter of time until someone grew curious or pissed off with her audacity. Perhaps they would not be able to decipher her message.
It was clear even far from the borders that they possessed no young, an oddity in itself with Archers well known for their sizeable litters. There were those that spent as much time outside the borders as they did within them, and she had thought once or twice to follow the scent that led out into the Marsh, then thought better of it. Some mysteries were best left as such although she doubted her resolve would last for long.
She paused in her meandering, ears turning back as she heard a movement behind her. Turning to face the sound her tail dropped, a friendly chuff sent out between the umbrella-like canopy. I mean no harm, the twitching wave of her tail conveying as such where her words would not.
