Sex: FemaleNow that she was home Inna was doing her best to reacquaint herself with her pack and their lands. She had not forgotten the conversation she’d had with her mother about maybe becoming a scout for the pack. It was something she had given considerable thought to so if she was going to become a scout she would need to know the packs lands better than she had known them before she had left. The last few days had been spent traveling the borders and visiting the places that she loved most in Hearthwood River. Inna was glad to be back in her home but she felt that so much had changed especially in her absence and even since she had returned. When she had woken up that morning she could hear the light rain outside the communal den which did not motivate her to leave the den as early as she had been since her return. Instead she yawned once before finally rising to her feet and lazily walking to the den entrance. There she sat back on her haunches as she looked out across the clearing outside the den. Inna knew that she should go out into the rain to do some hunting since she hadn’t had the chance to add to the cache in a couple of days but she didn’t really like the idea of spending the day with wet fur. Her thoughts were interrupted by a sound that caused her ear to swivel slightly as she tried to determine what had made it. |

After he had discovered what rain was – with Atty's help – Kyrios had quickly grown to love the weather. Water was most definitely the captain's element, having it fall from the sky was like magic, and no way was he missing it for something as trivial as sleep. As soon as the drops started patting against the den-roof, pale ears stood on end, golden eyes blinking open. With a wide grin on his face, he'd shaken the sleep from his head and carefully lifted himself up, tip-toeing between the sleeping bodies of his family around him. The morning was still dim, but that didn't deter him and he felt a rush as he slipped out into the building shower. He had no particular plan, nothing special to do in the rain, other than just be in it. Running as fast as he could, trying to swerve and avoid the drops, jumping and splashing in gathering puddles, Ky could have easily played in the rain all day. Though, playing alone was not nearly as much fun as sharing the joy with his sisters. So as the forest grew lighter, the pale pup turned tail and rushed back towards the den, continuing his game on the way. A large rock posed as the perfect springboard, sending him into a pool of mud with a satisfying, loud splash, his legs and belly splattered with dirt. Then he saw the clearing just up ahead, a lovely, sizeable puddle shimmering in the sunlight. A bark of laughter escaped him, smile spreading from ear to ear as he pushed into a sprint, gasping for breath before he cleared the trees. With a yip of joy, the boy hurled himself at the water, landing in a spray of muddy water and letting himself roll forwards, wiggling his back into the puddle with a satisfied hum. A tilt of his head, and golden eyes found the dark figure, watching from the den. Tongue lolling out the side of his mouth, Kyrios smiled at her, then rolled over onto his stomach and got up. He knew the black yearling, though not very closely, she seemed to be very busy most of the time. Still, it was with a happy expression he approached her now, only pausing to shake his body violently, freeing his fur of water, only to have it soak again from the rain. Unperturbed, he continued the last few steps, smiling up at Inna as he greeted her in a sing-song voice: "Hey Na-na, what'chu lookin' at?" Word count: 419 ”Speech” Thoughts |
The fact that it was raining did not encourage Inna to want to do much of anything that particular day. Sure she had her responsibilities but she wondered if there were times when she could just act like a pup again. Sleep in the den all day or stretch out in the sun even. Many fond memories of her puppyhood drifted through her mind as she watched the rain fall causing ripples in the nearby puddles. She didn't even mind sitting at the mouth of the den watching the puddles grow and feeling the breeze ruffle the fur along her back. Glancing up at the sky she did wonder if the rain was in to stay or if it would clear up by afternoon. The dark yearling thought it wouldn't hurt to nap till then and then see if it had cleared up before going out to hunt. The sound of a bark and then a yip reached her ears causing her to rethink her decision of a nap. It sounded like it was one of the pups and it also sounded as though it was in the rain she judged by the splashing sound that also reached her ears. Then the sight of a wet cream colored ball of fluff entered her line of sight. It was most certainly one of the pups and it seemed much larger than she thought it would be. Inna also recognized this one as Kyrios and she wondered what exactly he was doing out in the rain. Ebony girl also noticed the fact that he was rather dirty, she assumed from the puddles which explained the splashing noise she'd heard. Inna smiled at the pup as he approached, she couldn't fault the youngster for wanting fun on an otherwise boring day. “Well I was looking at the rain until you stumbled along,” she replied with a laugh, “What brings you out in such soggy weather? I'm not sure your father will be pleased you've gotten so dirty,” she said with a slight seriousness to her tone. Inna then lay down still just inside the den so that she was on the same level as Kyrios. She remembered when Orren would do this for her when she was the same size as the pup in front of her. There were days she missed being a pup and not having such worries of hunting and patrolling to worry about. Inna pushed those thoughts out of her mind not wanting to ruin her first real meeting with the pup and instead she thought of what her brother might do in such a situation. |
Tail wagging high behind him, Kyrios looked up at the black girl with a lopsided grin. Her laugh only encouraged him further, the bubbly sound filling his ears, running all the way through his body and made his tail wave faster. At her comment he crinkled his nose, sticking out his tongue at her, then he glanced down over his muddy fur. He didn't think it was that bad, a bit of dirt was hardly the end of the world, and despite Inna's comment, he doubted XIX would make a fuss. Now @Karina, that was another story. He shook his head lightly, there was no point worrying about the fallout, besides, getting dirty was to be expected when you were adventuring. Kyrios looked back up at Inna, still wrinkling his nose; "Bu' what's the fun in watchin' th' rain?" It needed to be experienced! The black girl bend down and he yipped happily, hopping forwards so their noses were only inches apart. He'd come looking for his sisters, but that plan was easily changed, he couldn't pass on this opportunity; "Don't jus' lie there, come play!" And then, without pausing to consider the consequences, the boy raised a muddy paw and wiped it against her muzzle, giggling loudly. As soon as it was done he jumped back out into the rain, just outside of her reach, so she would have to follow to get back. Word count: 235 ”Speech” Thoughts |
The young pup before her was so cheerful which brought her thoughts to the time she'd spent with her brother as a pup. She watched as his tail wagged over his back and the lopsided grin that crossed his features. Her comment about him getting dirty and what his father would say didn't seem to go over very well. In fact the comment was met with a wrinkle of the boy's nose and his tongue being stuck out ar her. She could not help but laugh, “You’re a cheeky little fellow aren't you?” She finally said before poking her muzzle at him. In some ways he reminded her of herself as a pup and how she had her own ideas of things. This thought made her curious what he might be like aa he grew older. Would he be the adventurous one of his litter? Of course Inna knew only time could give the answer to that. Inna shrugged at his question, “I suppose in your eyes not much but there is a certain peacefulness about the forest When it rains. It's nice to stop and enjoy it after being so busy,” she explained to Kyrios. The pup wasn't happy when Inna had moved to be on his level. No, he wanted to play which she should have expected, after all that was all she had wanted to do at his age. “You want to play do you?” She said mischievously with a raised brow. Then his muddy paw had come in contact and he was soon out in the rain. Just cause she hadn't wanted to get wet didn't mean she wouldn’t. She jumped to her feet and charged the pup then nudged him with her nose in an attempt to knock him off his feet. |
Her answer didn't interest him, nor did her taunt, he was already off and back out in the rain. The question only made him roll his eyes, of course he wanted to play! Then, finally , she was out after him, surprisingly quick on her feet. Ky ran the best he knew, tail flying high behind him as he splashed through the mud. But there was no outrunning the yearling on his stubby puppy-legs, he hadn't even made it across the clearing before she caught up, her snout finding his ribs. The bump, though not hard, knocked him off his feet, and he tumbled sideways and forwards, rolling once, tail over head. A loud giggle escaped him as he landed in a puddle, pale fur smeared with dirt and water. He had to pause his laughter to spit some from his mouth as well, but none of it hurt his good mood. The boys head lifted from the water to look up at Inna, muddy droplets falling from his matted fur. His eyes were shining with enjoyment, but as he looked at her, he thought to himself that she was still way too dry and clean compared to him. His tail splashed in the puddle as it wagged rapidly, teeth showing in a wolfish grin. "See, fun!" He proclaimed, then jumped back up on his hind legs, front paws outstretched towards the dark girls face. He aimed to grip her head or muzzle, wherever he could get a hold, weighing her down with all his puppy-fat, and leaving more, delightfully muddy spots on her clean, black fur. The pup had quite the little attitude on him but all that was forgotten as he took off out I to the rain. Not wasting any time she charged after him chasing the pup as he ran full speed the rain drops covering her ebony pelt as she was finally able to catch up to the youngster. Her nudge caused him to roll straight into a mud puddle and for a moment the Baranski worried she might of hurt him. She also wondered what his father would say if he saw Kyrios covered in mud. Any worries she had though we're erased when she heard the giggle he emitted. She lowered herself into a play bow while waiting for him to rid his mouth of some of the mud that had gotten in there. When it seemed to be taking him too long she let out a sharp bark to get him going again then smiled at his comment. “Yes, lots of fun,” she agreed just as he jumped to his feet and was grabbing her head with his paws. Though Inna was sure that she could have lifted him in the air if she'd wanted to she instead let him pull her down into the mud with her. Soon she was covered in mud completely down her left side her tail slapping more of the muddy water sprinkling them both as she wagged it happily. Placing one of her paws over his little body she playfully nipped at his ear before she rolled on to her other side, might as well do a thorough job of getting dirty. |
Despite her apparent dreariness, the black girl was quick to join his game with enough provocation. Once they were both out in the rain and mud, Inna didn't hold back, her encouraging bark further goading the rambunctious pup. His paws locked around her muzzle, a satisfied grin on his muddy face as he pulled her down with all his weight. Now he wasn't stupid, he knew she could easily shake him, his measly puppy weight hardly enough to knock her off balance. And yet he tried, snarling fiercely as he tugged, and to his utter astonishment, and glee, he felt her tumble. They both crashed back into the mud, a delightful splash rising around them, Kyrios laughing triumphantly as he rolled and his back in the puddle, legs kicking wildly into the air. Inna's wagging tail continued to spray dirty water at their rears, her muddied paws reaching out, no doubt to repay his earlier soiling of her face. The pup giggled and spat, struggling under her hold. He only managed to free himself as she rolled over, tugging his ear free and wiggling out under the weight. There was a big, goofy grin on his face as he got to his feet, looking down at the grown wolf playing in the mud just as he had. This was what he loved about Inna, though she was as big as the adults, she always seemed more open to play, more fun! The little wolf, his ivory pelt closer to brown now, barked with laughter, jumping on the spot a few times, sending more water splashing in all directions. Then, seeing his chance, he sprang forwards, speeding to climb up her shoulder and proudly take up position on top of her, victory glowing all over him. "Got'chu now Na-Na! Got'chu good!" He would announce, joyously, looking down at the slain girl with a triumphant glimmer in his eyes. Word count: 317 ”Speech” Thoughts |
She'd been a little apprehensive about joining the pup in the rain at first but soon joined him. She remembered when she and Orren had played outside the den. It hadn't been raining that day but it had still been fun and she hoped that maybe she could bring some of that fun to Kyrios. Besides did it really hurt to get a little dirty every once in awhile. With her bark came his paws around her muzzle and his cute little snarls as he tried to pull her into the mud and get her just as dirty as he was. All thoughts of what Lachesis might do if he caught them were forgotten as she allowed herself to be pulled into the mud puddle. As she fell into the mud a big splash rose up around them before showering them with muddy water. A laughed escaped the ebony Baranski as she watched Kyrios kicked his little puppy feet in the air and rolled in the mud. Meanwhile her tail thumping against the surface of the water only further muddied them. She had stopped caring how dirty she got at that point even going so far as to get herself completely covered. When the pale pup finally freed himself from her grasp she saw the grin on his face and knew she had been able to bring him the same joy her brother had her. Taking a moment before she went for Kyrios again Inna took her turn to roll in the mud puddle as he had before. Inna laughed more as he jumped up and down beside her, “Perhaps I underestimated the amount of fun this was,” she said amidst her laughter. Finally she stopped rolling in the mud and turned her attention back to Kyrios to find him climbing onto her shoulder. He didn't stop there though as he declared that he had gotten her. She giggled, “Yes you did and it was a valiant effort,” she exclaimed before reaching up and nudging his cheek. |
