Morganna Archer-Lyall
Mood Music - 16th January, early morning. Morganna and Celandine first found the territory in this thread two nights prior and everyone would have been invited to poke around yesterday to get familiar with the place/start marking out borders and finding food. Just a quick pack howl, one round only to make it official and we can start exploring our new playground! @Niles @Celandine @Tikhon @Renier @Maeve @Sovanna @Deadlock @Pietro
Territory description: On the north-western edges of the lagoon where trees from the cedarwood begin to encroach on it’s banks, a labyrinthine series of dips and hollows snakes between the trees. Moss covered rocks and a dense canopy overhead give the place an almost ethereal atmosphere, all paths seemingly leading to one central granite rock, an upright plinth spared a mossy covering for the clear ground that surrounds it, allowing sunlight to flood the clearing.
so close your eyes and know how lucky you are
Morganna Archer

Morganna wasn't much of one for stuffy meetings and gatherings, and their minds had already been made, hadn't they? She was sprawled out in the snow-covered clearing around the central stone, eyes narrowing as she considered it's presence and all that it might imply. She had never really been a superstitious wolf, but the stories the travellers had told had been fantastical and whimsical and she had found herself being swept away in what ifs. What if this really was a pookastone? And the hare caught halfway between a winter and summer coat was actually a shapeshifter?

There wasn't anyone around to hear her chuckle, well not that she could spot between the stony dips and walls that all seemed to spiral outwards from here. They'd spent enough time waiting. She tipped her head back to howl, ears turning to catch her packmates calls with a satisfied smirk. If anyone had decided they didn't like it here, now was their last chance to leave. They were claiming this slice of the Lore as their own.

Celandine Argyris
let’s admit the world don’t turn around us
Celandine Argyris

Having spent more than enough time lost among the strangely formed structures just a skip away from the lagoon, Celandine found herself ready to make their stay a little more official. They had, of course, taken shelter there, laid out some loose boundaries, and whatnot, but they hadn't signaled to anyone in the area that this place belonged to them. Morganna seemed to be a step ahead of her though, as the leader's familiar song echoed through the air. Tipping her pale muzzle upwards toward the the pastel sky, Celandine added her own honeyed vocals to Morg's. "We are here. This is ours."

Tikhon Artemieva

Their journey seemed to have finally come to an end and they had spent the last day investigating and preparing for the place to become their home. Tikhon had done his fair share of helping out.

The place that had been chosen was an interesting one at that and left him wondering what it would look like in the spring. The dark Agouti man had found a nice sunny spot to rest after their long journey over the mountain when he heard Morganna's call sounded through their territory followed by Celandine's. They were claiming the territory as theirs.

A smile crossed his features before he raised his own muzzle to the sky and joined them in their claim of the land.

Deadlock Soule
He had followed them closely without a word, his mix-matched eyes watching in awe as the scenery changed into a magical, mythical place all its own right before his eyes. He was speechless, but no words were needed, as he had agreed without conflict to give the dark woman lead his loyalty. He didn't think much of the journey, its many twists and turns were not felt by his numb paws as they traveled to their new land and when he looked behind him at the tired and weary faces that had also pledged their loyalty to Morganna he knew that this was something more. His bond with Morganna and Celandine would most likely go well beyond that of a normal wolf, as was a requirement, and he did not complain. When the howls rang forth he didn't hesitate to bellow his own, eyes were closed and lips formed into a perfect circle to announce that they were finally home.

Maeve Destine Caravello

Maeve was tired from the journey, and life in general to be completely honest. More tired than the usual, considering all that has happened. Though at the very least her wounds were finally beginning to heal and form into big ugly scars. Scars similar, in fact, to the very ones she'd mocked Aponi for before the woman lurched forward and.. Well, instant karma she supposed. However the fae knew how important the move would be to Celandine and the others, thus not leaving much time for her to just sit back and dwell in the hell these past two weeks have been. No, she'd left with them without a fuss, and arrived just shortly after. The place was beautiful, really. Magnificent even, however she'd wait to explore it's depths until after she's made a complete recovery. For now, rest. Finally.

Tipping her head back after hearing the others, Maeve let out a raspy, weak call of her own. This was their home now.

It's in the eyes I can tell you will always be danger

The vale hadn't been terrible, but he was glad to put it behind. The west was where he belonged. Where the next chapter of life started. Why the journey had been a bit rough, at least now they could cease traveling, and tether themselves to something again. So he wasn't surprised this was where they landed. It was good middle ground from where he'd been born, and lived. Most importantly close to something that meant more to them, untainted. Just like it ought to be. Now if only their young renegades would arrive. But, as he eased through the cedar trees he did not find himself anxious. They'd get here soon enough, and his work would double. Morganna's voice rose, pulling him from his thoughts. The others joined the chorus and he raised his own mouth, resonating the same thing. They weren't going any where.

He had had to run pretty hard to get there in time, but it appeared that he wasn’t too late. The yearling skidded to a halt just inside the territory Morg and the others were iin - he had been following her scent there anyway - when she started to howl to claim the territory. As if it wasn’t claimed already - their scents saturated the place. A smile crossed the young wolf’s maw as he tilted his own head back to add his own bell-like tones to the mix.

This would be a good place to settle. Pete had a good feeling about it.

With that in mind, the black wolf padded into his newfound home and went off in search of his family. It was important to let Morganna know he was safe.

Sköll Archer
At the back of the group, Skoll mostly lagged behind. Most of his strength had returned during those first few weeks he had spent within Quaking Vale. Morganna had done well, keeping him fed and his temper (mostly) level; Skoll had to admit it to himself now that his sister had quite possibly surpassed their mother's skillset when it came to pinpointing maladies and finding their cures. Taking a stroll over the mountain, however, had aggravated his nerves, leaving his muscles sore and body tired of the cold nipping at every vulnerable part of him (his nose, his eyes, the places between this toes). The only thing he craved now was to rest, so when the traveling band of his sister's misfits came to a halt, he did, too.

His ears cupped forward and his head slowly came up. His ghost grey eyes scanned the back of Niles' head, immediately trying to hone in on where exactly they were going but failing to even see past Niles' broad shoulders. Annoying. He made a face, but then there came a howl. They had arrived. Skoll blinked at the familiar landscape around him, the playground of his childhood. If this was where Morganna wanted to settle down, then so be it... so long as life got back to the way he liked it: quiet days and even quieter nights with dreams to dream and shadows to keep.

With a tip of his muzzle to the sky, he joined in his sister's song and let the rest of western Relic Lore that the Archer matriarch was not alone, she had brought her brother too.

Niles Archer Lyall
The trip had been long and the footsteps many. To arrive at their destination early that morning, however, was a fortunate affair. After trekking up and down the mountain, through the forests and, now, onto even land, the Lagoon - even in all its frozen glory was a welcome sight. For most of the way, he was keeping an eye on Skoll, often recounting in his head the advice Morganna had given him as how to deal with their brother (if he had to deal with him at all, with his healing sores and frequent breaks wherever the snow gave him trouble). As they continued further into the west, his mind slowly began to shift from being much too preoccupied with Skoll to other things now that they had seemingly come to a stop. Where once there was a simple trail - often, a trench in the snow without another pack member in sight - were now fully formed tracks in the snow with a heady musk, as though someone had been there just minutes before them.

His lowered head came up the same moment Skoll's had and as Morganna's song came up, so did the rest of the pack around them... and Skoll's. This had been the moment he had waited for: homecoming. Niles swallowed and his body swayed to one side, a forepaw extending to his right as to catch himself. He almost forgot that he was still Quaking Vale's Lead male and, that even on foreign lands, among these rogue woodlands not far from his mother's willows, he was still responsible for helping keep things in check. By now the grief had been shaken off but the sadness and loneliness remained in its stead.

Without reluctance, he also added his voice to the chorus of howls that echoed across the Lagoon and its surrounding woodlands. It was time to start again and start anew.

Each of the howls that answered in turn only bolstered her conviction that moving had been what was best for all of them, with Skoll and Niles rounding out the chorus she was certain, her brothers would have a chance to flourish here, they all would. It was a shame that Sovanna was already out of range but that was just a testament to the fleet-footedness of the girl, she would make a very fine scout indeed.

With that small matter sorted, it was time for Morganna to start earning her keep once again. She pushed herself up onto spindly limbs and made towards the borders. Now that it was hers, she was going to make sure everyone knew it.
