Birtie distanced herself from the borders by heading onto the snowy trails. She was back to keeping to herself. There was plenty for her to do alone. She had already ruffled feathers once so surely she was under watch now. What did Kajika think? Would this put their little deal on the line? A scoff escaped from her as she kept prowling through the brush. Anyone who was bothered by a simple rank challenge did not deserve her time.
She banished her sour thoughts. It would do her no good to hold in the feelings. Granted they might serve as better ammunition for the next round she went for.
The large female was stopped in her tracks at the sound of movement. Her head lowered and ears quickly pressed forward with interest. She had smelled nothing out of the usual but then again there hadn't been much of a breeze to go off of. Without a warning, a small brown form darted out from the brush. A rabbit. Her posture relaxed then as she watched the creature disappear again.
