She lingered outside of the borders like a ghost. Her sides expanded and collapsed with each deep breath. There was an urge to disappear for the season. Her toes wiggled and clenched at the ground in an uncomfortable manner. She did not enjoy feeling like a stranger in her own skin. It seemed her brain couldn't control most of her reactions. Someone approached and her lips would pull back or she'd hear a sound and feel her muscles tense.
Birtie thought she had been getting better at being social. Seemed that progress had been wiped away, though.
With a heavy huff, she began to move. Her pace was slow and strides long. The large female had no idea where she was going but that was okay as long as it was away from the commotion of others.
