There are only two ways to live your life: as though nothing is a miracle, or as though everything is a miracle.

@Jenessa

The sun was shining high over the towering ridges of the Mountain of Dire, casting it’s warm rays down over the Tarn. Daesamar had become a large black and silver lump on a stray rock that was slowly becoming one of his favorite places to relax after patrolling and hunting. It was nice, smooth and big enough for him to lay out on without his limbs spilling over the edge. Best of all, during this time of the year, it seemed to be in just the right place to catch and absorb the sun’s warmth. A low groan escaped the yearling as he slowly licked his lips, stirring and reluctantly pulling himself from the warmed rocks and standing.

Once he managed to wake himself up fully Daesamar gave his fur a good violent shake. The motion caused him to jump a bit, his paws tingling with alertness, his tail wagging softly as he started toward the tarn’s edge. Once he got there, he dipped his muzzle into the warm water and drank his fill. Looking at himself in the water’s reflection, he couldn’t help but smiler. Things were going well with the pack, his hunting improving more and more as time passed. He was learning how experience truly did come with time and he had stopped fretting about it now and simply chose to practice as much as he could.

He looked around, wondering if any of his packmates were around, sniffing the air, all he picked up was the strong unified scent of the pack as a whole. Assuming that he was alone now, he placed his right forepaw into the water. Daesamar was a fairly simply wolf, he let the lapping warm water tug at his paws and enjoyed every minute of it. Soon his left paw followed and before long the tall canine stood fully in the pond. His silver eyes closed as he sunk down for a moment, his fur tugging and slowly becoming saturated. Suddenly the yearling growled, his fangs flashing as he dipped his muzzle below the water, snapping at his own reflection and causing a small splash against the calm surface, sending droplets of water into the air.
