Ramiel Minos Archer
Swearing.

Ramiel ARCHER
I don't believe in no devil,'cause I done raised this hell

Frankly Ramiel wasn't in the mood for a fight but if that was what the surge wolves wanted that was what they would get. The Archer stood firm bristling a snarl on his lips and eyes watching each member that had come to rally I'm the surges defense. It seemed to him that with the number that had appeared the deer was just a decoy for their agenda. He remained silent and in place waiting for the word his queen would give for an attack and he was ready to spring forth it that was what it came to.

The chocolate man, Aytigin spoke, they were aware of his ties to the pack before them. He tried to calm the situation to no avail. Ramiel didn't expect such righteous wolves to want to hear reason. His eyes caught the movement as a wolf about his and a little older than he and his brother charging right for Judas. Well that wouldn't sit well whether his brother could take care of himself or not. Ramiel wouldn't let that pass rushing forward he stopped within inches of the young male and snapped his jaws inches from the surge wolf's face, a warning to back the fuck off. This situation had not come to that but very well could if he continued to step out of line. These surge wolves had no authority in the Keep’s territory.

Then the white wolf spoke, he took this man to be their alpha. He attacked Aytigin first diminishing the right he had to speak in his own territory. Clearly this wolf felt that was the best way to get the upper hand. The rest of what he said was inconsequential, it didn't matter because he felt that it was the wolves of the keep that we're at fault for this. It was they that should have gone to the surge when he could have easily come to the keep. Clearly any idiot could see Ellery tucked safely nearby and that their queen was a little busy with her child. The Archer scoffed at the man.

Then his queen spoke her words putting that white bastard in his place. The pride for her swelling in the young Archers chest and once again he felt he'd made the right decision joining her. She spoke with reason and pointing out that what this wolf and his followers were angry about was pointless when they had so many other places to hunt. His silver gaze turned on the pale man waiting for what order he would give his followers next.

Judas Orion Archer
Judas ARCHER
by the light of the moon, we run

The bodies of Mako and Judas nearly collided, stopping short as Mako skid to a halt and did not intrude any further. As an ending of warning Judas teeth snapped but he didn't move further, only snarled at the female in turn who was keen on backing up her pack mate. For the time being Judas held back, his weight shifting from side to side as he paced in wait. Long limbs leaving him moving quick as he readied for a strike, his tongue lolling from his mouth in both excitement and anticipation.

The words from that large wolf he didn't particularly like, Aytigin, spoke and it took everything in the boy to not turn his aggression in him. His jaw clenched only, something subtle and could be easily thought as an action towards the wolves before him. In Judas mind Aytigin had no place speaking out like that. He was not Leader, he was not even an advisor or diplomat of any sort. He was a warrior like Judas self and even the pup knew when to shut the hell up. At least when it came to trying to make decisions like this.

The pale wolf of this trespassing four spoke then and Judas froze. Though he remained before Mako and Jynx predominantly, his dark grey eyes side glanced to what he assumed to be their leader by the way he spoke up. Judas fur along his spine stood on end, nose crinkling. He took a few paces back from the two wolves he stood before it only to angle himself towards the man he now new to be their leader. It only took the word from his Queen and he would tear them apart.

She spoke then, telling the other wolf how she didn't give a shit about what he wanted and spoke frankly of how foolish they had been coming here when the north was plentiful with hunting grounds. And it did seem, as far as Judas had been here, the expanse of the north was far less packed then the southern region ruled by his family. They had no excuse. They had purposefully trespassed because they didn't respect their markers. The challenge made Judas furious and he silently shook with anticipation.

Neha Vuesain

Hackles bristling and teeth bared, Neha stood her ground, just like everyone else. She widened her stance, cold brown eyes darting from one Surge wolf to the next. She had never been a fighter, but right now she was prepared to take on any one of these tresspassers. Given her broken emotional state and new outlook on life in general, she assessed her rivals not as she would fellow wolves, but as prey. Who was the weakest? The youngest, or the most inexperienced of the lot?

The most vocal was by far, their pristine coated leader. Foolishly he went on a little tirade in scolding @Aytigin, after the dark male had spoken up. He had been out of line to do so, but Lachesis was more so in the wrong as to treat him like rotting, leftover meat. Pearly teeth parted to erupt a low growl, whilst she took a single, precise step forward. He thought these grounds were his to hunt on, when there was room to spare to the north. Why throw their weight around here? She would stand by Nineva and her pack, in complete agreement with her counter speech for the Surge male. If they thought tresspassing was what it would take to make an impression, then they were right. Just a very poor one. At the command of her grey scale leader, Neha would launch forward in hot pursuit of any interloper to drive them back where they came from. Any who stayed, she would give no mercy.

Neha can often be found close to Aleister's side and therefore may appear in any of his threads.

Yuka Thorben
Guardian dem 2/3

Now what could he say in response to that? His niece was certainly a rule follower, much like her mother and there was not much he could say against her response. He did not want to go against his sister's wishes and tarnish the Hervok's words in the child's mind, but at the same time, Yuka did not want to subject Ellery to what might occur at the borders. His family had tried to shelter him from such things at an early age, only for him to get stuck with an ugly mug of a face. The Thorben decided to settle for a simple agreement...with a little twist, "That's right. She meant stay within the pack land, so we're just going to move back a little bit, so that you can be safe." I mean, if the kid wanted to watch what was going on, Yuka wouldn't stop her, he would just simply stand guard. The Thorben just hoped that Nineva felt that she way.

So much was happening at once. More members of the pack had arrived in the time his attention had been focused on Nineva's child, Aytigin's voice in particular grabbing Yuka's attention. While the handsome man's words made sense, it was not his place making such depends. Amber teal-flecked eyes moved to gaze at their trespassor, eyebrows raising in disbelief at the accusations and bland possession this man thought he owed. Did he want the whole damn lake? There was plenty enough to go around, but it certainly seemed like he needed to have the whole place to himself. How rude. A small smile curved onto his lips when Nineva spoke, russet ears cupped forward to hear what she had to say. Something akin to pride blossomed in Yuka's chest. She reminded him a lot of their dad - just with a lot more to say. Looking down at Ellery, his voice was much softer this time, the Left Hand much calmer now that things seemed to have settled down, "Your mother is very smart, you know." A happy glint was in the Thorben's eyes, one that had been missing for quite some time.

Posting to move this thread along.

As soon as Lachesis stated that he and his wolves would not grant the Keep pack a fight, Jynx made up her mind. Like everyone else, she would settle for a show of teeth and intimidation. But, if any of these inexperienced rivals took the initiative and lunged first, then she would defend herself. Then one of them, a pitch black yearling, had to go and snap his jaws in front of Mako's face. It didn't help that the russet coated woman was already fond of the bulky male, and of course, protective. Even though Mako could take care of himself, this she would not tolerate. The hairs on her back spiked, a threatening snarl reverberating from her throat as she sidestepped in front of her pack mate defensively. If the second dark wolf, Judas didn't like her bold move, then he would just have to go through her.

All attention focused towards the opposing Leaders, exchanging words. She listened disgustedly to Nineva, who claimed that the hunting grounds of Driftwood were now her home. There was room to the North, true. But she dismissed it with a huff, a biting remark nearly sliding off her tongue. Had this female no respect for that which was so obviously already claimed? Did she not consider scouting the area more thoroughly until deciding to settle right on the Surges doorstep? The fact was, that Driftwood had laid claim to these lands first, and would not be driven out. Jynx held firm, still bristling, awaiting command from Lachesis.

Aytigin Delaney
Aytigin tried not to let Lachesis' words affect him - he honestly did. But instead of feeling sadness or shame, as he would have mere months before, a smirk scrawled across his indifferent maw. And as much as others may believe he was speaking out of turn or rank, Nineva hadn't seemed to mind his words. In fact, instead of scolding him or trying to put him in his place, she turned on Lachesis instead. Bit into him with cutting words that filled Ayti with a sense of pride.

He'd made a good choice, coming with her.

"I owned up to the fact that I messed up. I accepted my punishment and left. I apologized. You get a kick out of being a snarky asshole toward wolves who are just minding their own goddamn business? I'm glad I have no allegiance to you," he told the white man he used to consider his closest friend. "I left your territory and didn't go back in. As far as I can tell, you haven't pissed here. This is not your home anymore."

A smirk and a warning growl slipped past his lips, his tail rising to level out with his back. "You heard the lady," he told the Surge wolves, his gaze landing back on Lachesis. "Get out of here, you arrogant prick."

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
posting to keep this moving - this is Lachesis' exit post. i would like this archived by September 10 please & thank you!

These were our hunting grounds before you and your gang of inbred mutts decided to piss all over the place, he scoffed in response, his chin still raised high as he regarded the silver bitch. He wasn’t interested in what she had to say, or what the others had to say. She was clearly delusional to think that she was entitled to the stretch of lake less than a day away from the Surge. Lachesis had been careful to select his hunting grounds when he moved further south, closer to the Shallows. He had not wanted to trespass on the hunting grounds claimed by his closest friends and had used most of the lake (and the surrounding forest) as Driftwood’s. Either this pack was as stupid as they looked or they intended on pushing the mountain wolves out. The latter wasn’t going to happen, no matter how hard the silver fae tried, so Lachesis was going with the former. Clearly you are unfamiliar with the lake’s terrain if you think we circled around the lake to chase a damn deer, he added in with a dark frown, his brows furrowed tight.

He flicked his tail in the direction of his packmates, indicating that it was time for them to leave as he was not interested in fighting. Not when they were severely outnumbered—although he knew he was more than capable of taking on more than one. He had one—no, two wolves in mind and he would not hesitate in ripping their throats out. But today was not the day for bloodshed. He had gotten all the information he had wanted. He had sized up the self-proclaimed queen and her brood and was not impressed.

He did not flinch at Aytigin’s words or even acknowledge them. He did not care what the loose-lipped vermin had to say. Fortunately for Lachesis, the chocolate male was no longer his problem. He was not interested in whatever bullshit spewed from his mouth. Lachesis had already endured months of garbage from the male. Figure your shit out. The Driftwood wolves will hunt where they please. I can promise no harm will come to your children but I cannot say the same for your subordinates. He shrugged before stepping back, toward the invisible border, his tail still held high. Bye for now. With that he singled to the rest of his pack that it was time for them to take their leave. He did not wait for a response, nor did he care if he received one. The pale leader sprinted back out of the territory before the silver female, or any of her followers, could snap their teeth in his direction.

Exit.

Mako Coho
As the startled adrenaline seeped away, the reality settled on Mako like a heavy rock in his gut. Great Wolf above, this was a fucking mess. This place  had once been their hunting grounds, and was now swarming with entitled wolves that seemingly didn't realize the place they had settled down in hadn't exactly been open for the taking. Mako bumped his flank appreciatively against Jynx's side as she quickly came to his defense against the dark wolf snapping at him. He was sure he could take care of himself, but her gesture meant a lot to him. They had each other's backs.

Mako's fur bristled in agitation along his back as he glared at the opposing pack, Mako's heart swelling in pride in his leader as Lachesis refused to be goaded by the rival pack's words. Mako growled low in his throat, casting one last glance over their enemies before he nudged Jynx with his shoulder, "Let's get outta here." He grumbled to her before turning to follow Lachesis.

What a pickle they had gotten themselves into. Or rather, say, the Keep wolves. What had been intended as happy hunting exercise turned into an all out confrontation with their new neighbors, who looked intent on staying. But so long as Driftwood was around, with Lachesis and Lilya firmly in charge, this new pack wouldn't last. In the meantime, she'd give 'em hell.

Chest puffed, head and tail high, the experienced huntress glowered smugly down at those she considered her lessers, while Lachesis swatted the monochrome woman's words away like one would a fly. When he dismissed them, and himself, Jynx knew it was time to depart. These wolves had caused this mess and Driftwood would not yield. With a firm bump on Mako's shoulder, eyes darting towards the retreating form of the ghost, she followed suit, leaving the Vigil's Keep pack in the dust.

Ellery Prudence Hervok
she smiles like a georgia summer

Ellery’s attention was dragged from her uncle to her mother as the silver woman’s voice carried above the noise. The woman stood so unafraid in the wake of all the angry looking wolves, looking so powerful that the young girl could simply watch in awe. Every inch of the platinum girl was pulled to go to her, but she stayed where she was by order. Mother would be okay.

Yuka rumbled to her and she looked up at him with a blink, taking a moment to process his words. A grin settled on her features, tail wapping at the ground. ”Duh. It mother,” she said matter-of-factly. Nineva was the one with the answers to her bountiful questions. Ellery had known from the beginning that her mother was very intelligent.

More movement caught the edge of her vision and her puppy blue gaze turned to watch as the stranger wolves turned and went to leave. The girl gave a firm nod as if to say ‘good, we don’t want you here’ even though she had no real idea why it was that they didn’t want them there.
