Her ears swiveled as he spoke, interest apparent in the way her head began to tilt, and her lips began to purse. Ancestors were, of course, a part of her faith too, though the importance of them seemed smaller. They could also agree that death was not the end, for her ancestors had all gone to roam the forests of the Gods. It was comforting, in a way, to pick up the small similarities between their faiths.

The concept of reincarnation, though not entirely new to her, had always been fascinating. She made a mental note to come back to that topic later. "No. Well not exactly. We can feel them, and oft-times even see them, but they never speak to us. Their answers come in signs." Not unless they had taken on a physical form. "We do have seers who can commune with them, but the journey to the seers is long." A trip usually reserved for last resorts. But even then, once you made your decision, and the fates have spun your thread, there is no stopping it. "I believe it too, that those who die aren't really gone. We'll all meet again, in the next realm."

Well if you wanted honesty that's all you had to say

The man gave an understanding nod when she mentioned most not being able to hear them, but instead receiving signs for communication. That was the most common type of communication between the Ancestors and the living from what he knew. Lonaa had told them stories about those who could read the flight patterns of birds or see things in the ways that the water ebbed and flowed in the brooks that the Ancestors had communicated to them. It had also been said that if one prayed hard enough and asked for help, the Ancestors would aid you in your direst of moments. He himself had never been in such a situation, though he supposed coming across the woman next to him could have been a blessing from the Ancestors. Not in a sweet, lovey dovey sort of way, but in a ‘you’re in a strange land all alone and two heads are better than one’ sort of way. They both had similar goals and similar trains of thought as far as he could tell, hence why they got along so well.

“It’s interestin’, I s’pose, that we each know somethin’ that’s like two sides of th’ same coin,” he mentioned absently.

She nodded, knowing that Hudson would be able to feel the motion if he could not see it. "It's weird how that happens." Faith was an interesting topic in the way that Saga felt she could learn so much about someone by simply learning about their Gods. For some, it altered their entire outlook on life, for others it was no more than a passing thought, and for others still, faith was held in absolutely no regard. In Huddy's case, he had no Gods, but it seemed as though the ancestors were just as important.

She wanted to know more about it, wanted to ask what the achievements were, and find out whether or not he planned on being reincarnated, but Saga sat quietly with him instead, watching the smoke as it continued rising into the air, feeling comfortable in the silence they shared.
