As Woya continued and the orchard thinned, the topography of the snow and ice began to change. In the patchy clearings here and there, the wind had built the snow into large drifts, creating a series of high hills. Her eyes alit as an idea came to her, one that hopefully her small stature would assist in bringing to fruition. She bounded forward, thin paws punching through the icy crust with every stride, requiring more effort in each leap. The steeper the incline became, however, the thicker the frozen coating as it was exposed to the biting winds and sporadic sleeting. Eventually, she was able to stay atop the precipitation, and then finally, she was at the crest of one of the frozen waves.
"Booyah!" she barked out, tossing herself right back down. She flopped onto her side and kicked her legs into the air, sliding freely down the faux hillside with enough momentum to send her halfway up the next trough.
Giggles erupted from her pale frame and she sprang to action, climbing eagerly up the next drift to do it all again.
