This would be the highest she ever went on the mountain that split the land. A place snuggled between the mountain and the woods. Boulders jutted upward towards the sky, the telltale sign of how close she was to the mountain. A frozen spring seemed to sprout through some of the territory. More reminiscent of somewhere wholly more livable than a damn mountain. A few caves etched into the shadow of the mountain.

It almost seemed like somewhere that someone would try to claim, to live. Not her. Not here.

This place was merely a stopping point on her little free form journey. She was likely to loop back around up north once more when she was done here. Maybe travel around the mountain in a long way. It was a lot to consider as she brushed herself up against a boulder, scratching an itch that couldn't be soothed.

Aleister Vuesain

On a whim, the dark agouti Vuesain decided to check out the Veil that was snug against the mountain and the eastern forest. Having only ever travelled by this area, Aleister never took the time to truly look around and check things out. With all the estrogen driving him wild along the mountain range, he just wanted to find someplace to cool off and maybe let some build up tension out.

As he made his way down the rocky mountain side, his mismatched gaze looked around through the foothill noting the spring that surfaced through the crease, though it looked completely frozen over. Making his way further into the territory, Aleister once again found himself in the company of a female with her scent rolling over him. Something in him tightened as he continued forward, his powder blue and honey gaze finding the dark tawny woman up against a nearby boulder. A soft smile lifted his ebony lips, "Hello," he called out simply.

She watched as vultures circled in the distance, still rubbed away against the boulder’s rough edges. Until suddenly her attention was summoned in simple greeting. A stranger. A male, who admittedly didn’t look all that different from herself. Although he owned two mismatched eyes. Bright like gems or stars, but not nearly as pretty as her own.

Slowly she died down in her movements of itching. A simple huff was all she offered at first. Then soon followed a soft... ”Hello.” Returned to him with the simpleness he had provided her.

She would not hide it as she eyed him and tried to sniff the air enough to discern anything worthwhile.

Bi-colored gaze noticing the vultures that circled above, though he wasn't entirely interested in what their attention was directed to. His hunger was of a different sort.

As their eyes met, Aleister couldn't help but notice the familiarity of her pale blue gaze, reminding him of a certain ebony coated female. Though, he was sure there wasn't anything else similar aside from their matching gazes. The vixen continued her subtle movements against the boulder as if she had a insatiable itch that she was unable to relieve with her own will. She offered him a simple greeting in return as she reached out with her nose to seemingly figure him out more. Aleister knew enough from the scent that emitted from her body. "Do you need help, miss?" He asked with a raised brow. She seemed to be awfully uncomfortable.

He was bold.

She stared at him in silence for a moment but did not budge. Not offended by his words, but...wary. She knew nothing of him. Not his name or where he came from. His musk hinted at others, but nothing she could make out as unique.

Perhaps it was better if she knew nothing at all. It would be easier to dismiss this whole ordeal if she could move on without a second thought given to names or places. All she had was his masked face.

”Come closer.” It would nearly be a demand, strong in tone. It would not be a direct acceptance of whatever he offered, but it wasn’t as though she turned him away either.

Silence wrapped around them as she considered his words, his blue and honey gaze intently watching the vixen. Aside from her spring heat, there wasn't any other notable scents that clung to her, so it seemed she was out her alone. Though, she didn't seem intimidated by his presence like many of the other women in heat that occupied the mountain he called home. Instead, she beckoned him closer rather than keeping him at a distance.

He happily obliged as he prowled slowly, approaching her dark tawny side as his mismatched gaze continued to meet her pale blue eyes. Looking for any apprehension within them, he paused alongside her so they were almost shoulder to shoulder. "This close enough?"

She appreciated those who obliged her demands. It made everything easier on everyone. Or perhaps it made it easiest on her.

Dusty blue eyes watched him as he approached. This close she could tell they did practically stand the same. He did not appear to be some sort of hulking muscle man, he seemed...perfectly average. Besides for his mismatched eyes, he did not stand out very much. All of this was very important for reasons tucked close to herself.

It wasn't as if she had any sort of history, but the women in her (left behind) ragtag group had informed her of the knowledge needed to brave these sort of things without being a clueless creature.

A deep breath to still a heart that suddenly felt a bit too violent in her chest. Words of advice did not compare to being settled into the actual scenario. Still she carried on, driven as ever.

"No." She settled on firmly then sought to press her shoulder into his.

This spring had frustrated him. While the women technically got the brunt consequence of the season change, the men were also made to deal with the adversity of spring heat. The instincts tried to control him, making him act before thinking. Perhaps, it was the fact that he was turned down previously by someone he liked or the fact his sister didn't think twice when abandoning him. Either way it seemed all his care was thrown out the window.

She didn't move while he approached her, instead she held steady as she was waiting for him to meet her demands. Demands he was happy to oblige by in this moment. The tawny woman was quick to answer, her shoulder pressing against his as a fire moved through his veins at her touch. The Vuesain was honestly happy for some close contact with someone else. A deep rumble surged through his chest as he reached for her base of her nape to preen through her fur gently with his teeth. If she would allow him that close, he would preen through her fur for a few moments before whispering softly towards a tawny ear."How about now?"

Her head craned, an offered exposure of more of her neck as he preened. She remained silent though. Content to accept the things he offered. This would be the first time the mountain provided her something she did not mind, but she had every intention of casting him back to the mountains when things here settled.

Still he ushered more words into her mind. A warm voice by her ear. A soft hum of thought built in her throat, a half-minded sway of her tail.

"No." One would think it was the only word she knew as she aimed to briefly press her head against his form. As if she might hear his own heart and know if it beat as wild as her own seemed to.
