Lately Sharlee'd had a lot more energy than usual. It was a little strange to her but she felt there probably wasn't an answer. Maybe she'd been getting more sleep than usual or something like that. She mentally shrugged as she slipped through the Empress trees. The thing was that with all this extra energy it made it hard to get to sleep. So she could only think of one solution. She had to work it off.

The Valle woman had come up with the perfect plan. However, she wasn't sure of where to execute her plan. Luckily she stumbled on a small clearing not too far from the pack territory but maybe far enough she wouldn't be caught.

After a quick look around she stepped ro the middle of the clearing before starting to stretch out her legs. She would need them to be warmed up for what she had planned. Once she thought they were ready to go she started jumping as high as she could kicking out her legs in different directions.

This boy needs more dancing in his life.

Archer Valle

Archer was wandering more, especially outside the territory. If asked he would explain it away by his desire to get to know the land surrounding his home better, but in truth he wanted to meet someone new like Eros had. He was insanely jealous about it, his brother having an agemate that wasn't family all to himself. So Archer wandered further more and more often, hoping for the chance to meet someone.

Today, he came across Aunt Sharlee's scent, and it didn't take long to find her. Archer came upon Aunt Shar just as she was leaping into the air, legs flailing wildly about her. He froze and stared at her, ears straight up and jaw hanging. Was she hurt? Had she stepped on something? What on earth was going on? "What are you doing?" he finally asked.

Even if she hadn't thought it all the way through. In hindsight she probably should have went further from the Backwater. That didn't matter much now as she flew through the air her legs going every which way. It was probably a good thing she hadn't shouted out something to express just how much fun she was having.

In fact she found it might just be a good way to let some steam off when things got too stressful around the pack. Unfortunately just as she came down to land a voice spoke up. It was her nephew, Archer.

He wanted to know what she was doing. For a moment she looked at him with wide eyes. She'd totally been caught acting like a puppy. "What, can't a girl have a little fun?" She asked clearly joking.

Archer Valle

Aunt Sharlee's flailing came to an abrupt halt as she stared at him. He hadn't meant to sneak up on her, if in fact he had done so, but a small part of him hoped he had; it would give him great satisfaction to know that he could be quiet enough to surprise one of the adults, even as he was getting used to his growing limbs.

She teasing question came and Archer just blinked at her. "I guess," he said slowly, thinking back to his own little mostly-secret dance session a few days prior. "Is that what you're doing? Having fun?" he peered around the ground at her feet, checking for anything she might have trod on to startle her into jumping into the air like that. He was still early in his training but he would be happy to lend a paw if healing was needed. When nothing was found, he looked back up at her. "Is it working?"

She supposed being caught by Archer wasn't as bad as being caught by her brother. Surely he wouldn't let her live a thing like.this down. That would have been rather embarrassing nit to mention having to relive it everytime he brought it up. Yep, Archer was definitely the better one to catch her.

It was however clear that he wasn't going along with her teasing. In fact she wasn't really sure he was going to go along with it. She let that go bot wanting to draw any more attention to her poor joke. His next question however did bring a smile to the Valle woman's face. "Yeah, it was kind of a lot of fun," she admitted. Though she wouldn't admit that to anyone else...she didn't think. Sharlee took a few steps toward her nephew as he asked her if it was working. "Well I don't honestly know. I'm hoping it will help me get some sleep." She'd had way too much energy to feel like sleeping which was why she was up there in the first place.

Archer Valle

Archer watched his aunt curiously, glad she did at least seem to be alright. He still didn't understand how jumping and flailing about would be fun, but if that's what she was doing then good for her. He really couldn't be one to judge, given the little dance session of his own he'd had a few days prior. At least it had only been Clover to find him and not his brother. He'd never hear the end of it if Eros had found him dancing.

"You can't sleep?" he asked, concerned, and then his ears perked up. "You could eat some yarrow," he suggested brightly. "Clo taught me that yarrow helps with insomnia." His tail swayed behind him, pleased to have remembered his very first lesson in healing.

Her gaze was settled on her nephew and she could tell by the look on his face that he was still unsure. Sharlee could only imagine how it looked and how awkward all of this might be. It was a bit awkward for her too which left her unsure of how to make it not so much. She thought maybe examining more of why she was out there doing what she was might help. Thankfully that aeemed to spark something in the boy cause he seemed to light up once he was able to share a bit of knowledge with her.

The Valle woman smiled, "I see your lessons with Clover are paying off," she said as she closed the distance and affectionately bumped his cheek. "Maybe I should talk to her and see of she has some to spare," she added. Something also occurred to her then, "What brings you out this way Archer, Anything I can help with?"

Archer Valle

His offer was met with a smile, which warmed the boy. His tail wagged when she affectionately bumped him and he returned the gesture, wiggling slightly in place. He was learning, and he was excited that he got to sue that learning on his own! Even if he didn't have any yarrow with him now to help his Aunt Shar more immediately, anyway. He couldn't wait until he could be like Clover and help everyone.

And then Shar had to ask why he was out and Archer paused. He shrugged. "Just exploring," he said, feigning nonchalance. While he did want to explore outside more, his primary motivation was meeting someone new and cool like Eros did, but he didn't want to admit it.

Archer's knowledge of Yarrow did make her curious about what else he'd learned about from Clover. He might be right, that Maybe she did need to speak with her friend about this issue she was having. She wouldn't bother the healer then though. The Valle woman was more interested in what Archer had been up to to put him in a position to catch her. Thankfully the embarrassment of that had wore of by then.

She smiled back at him when he returned her bump. His response to her question was that he'd been exploring. "That can be fun. You mind if I tag along?" She asked, "Might help with getting some sleep." Besides it wouldn't give her se time to spend with her nephew. Sharlee often felt she didn't spend enough time with any of the pups.

Archer Valle

Archer was still riding the glow of getting to use his newfound healing knowledge to help his aunt, and it only solidified that this was something he needed to learn more of. He wasn't even as embarrassed about it as he had been at first. Why had he wanted to keep it a secret?

He realized Aunt Shar had asked him a question again, and Archer pretended to think about it for a moment before shrugging. "Okay," he finally said. "If it'll help you sleep. I wasn't going anywhere specific; just kind of wandering." he peered around them, trying to think of a good direction to go. He didn't mind if Aunt Shar was with him, so long as he got to meet someone new like Eros did and make him jealous. That was his ultimate goal. That, and he liked spending time with Aunt Shar. Win-win.
