Enera Rayvne
had a dream so big and loud

JUMPED SO HIGH I TOUCHED THE CLOUDS

She'd thought she was getting better. After her night with Luca, the itching under Enera's skin seemed to abate for a while. It'd lasted all of a day before she was nearly as feverish as before. Her paws still carried her towards her sister, but she traveled slower than she had on the way out. She just needed to give herself more time to stop feeling this way. Part of her thought about turning around and going back to find her new friend, but he'd been so worried about his pack and she didn't want to get him into any more trouble than he already was.

She sighed and slumped, dropping to her haunches next to a large tree and stared into a cut-out riverbed. Water flowed through it, not yet a spring-run but heavier than a winter trickle. The recent snowstorm would no doubt fill it in the coming days, should the world return to warming.

Ryenne
The itching under her skin was relentless and no matter what she did it refused to go away. She'd tried swimming in ice cold water, and then vigorously scratching her flanks against the rough bark, but all to no avail. In fact, the whole situation had made her quite grumpy, and she felt as if the scowl etched upon her face would be permanent for the days to come.

Rye meandered her way along the ravine, not going anywhere in particular, and not exactly searching for anything specific, but the scent of a wolf nearby had her changing course. Perhaps something to distract her mentally would make things easier?

It didn't take too long to spot a light-furred wolf beside a tree, stinking of a similar stench that Rye herself couldn't seem to get rid of. Scowl ever present on her maw, Rye moved closer with purposeful steps, though stopped short with a soft snort.

"Pebble for your thoughts?" She didn't actually care what the other female was thinking, but Rye hoped some conversation would distract her from the hive of bees that had apparently made their home under her skin.
