Greer Archer-Lyall
preferably for a WC wolf :)

With the morning sun warm on his back the slender shadow maneuvered past the trees and through the lush grass that consumed the meadow. He was not sure how, with the warm temperatures, the meadow remained so green, but he was not complaining. As soon as he left the cover of the willows behind him Greer realized how exposed he was. The overwhelming desire to retreat back to the familiarity of the forest devoured him, but he pushed forward; the burning desire to explore outweighed his discomfort. After coming across Narime, the silver queen of the Caverns, his interest in the neighbouring pack had increased. During their recent pack meeting his mother had mentioned how close the two packs were – just as Narime had during their encounter. While he was considering seeking their acceptance in the future, he was also unsure. He did not know where he wanted to end up; he was also happy in Willow Ridge, as he was surrounded by his kin, but he also wanted to experience more.

There was an abundance of packs in Relic Lore just waiting to be discovered and Greer, despite his mute-like demeanor, wanted to gather as much information about them as he could. However, he did not disregard the Caverns as an option – they were close and had a good relationship with the Ridge, which was important to him.

But first, he wanted to check in on his brother and see how he had been doing since his departure. The silver queen had informed him that Deacon had made himself home in her pack and Greer was curious as to how he was doing. Was he truly happy with his decision to leave? Was this move only temporary; did he, too, want to explore more of Relic Lore’s packs? Most of all, the smudge just wanted to see his brother – Castiel had disappeared once more, leaving Greer as the only remaining pup from their litter. Although the shadow preferred to be alone, and was constantly seeking out the comfort of solitude, not having his brothers around made him feel even more alone. He would never admit it aloud, but he missed having his brothers around; he had never been much into play-fighting, but he had enjoyed the adventures they had together.

A sigh fell off his tongue as he continued forward, his brows narrowed as he neared the side of the meadow where the scent of Narime and her whispers was the strongest. Greer was careful not to trespass; while the packs were on good terms, and were encouraged to hunt together, the wolves of the Caverns did not know who Greer was. His silver eyes frantically searched through the grass as his discomfort level rose. He had only come here for one reason – to see his brother – and was not keen on encountering anyone else…
