Helaku Featherwind
Helaku moved north, being careful to steer clear of the claimed territory to the east. He had no intentions of trudging on their land, and thought it best not to get too close just yet. Besides, there was no rush, and he was perfectly fine with lingering around these parts until he either found a place to live or simply continued on his way. But honestly, the traveling was getting to him. He longed for a stationary place to call home once more, and he knew that sooner or later, he would have to find somewhere to call his home.

He paused at the creek, lowering his head to drink a few deep gulps of water. It was cloudy, but not too cold, and his thick coat of fur was more than enough to keep him warm in this kind of weather. Once he had taken his fair share of water, he took a few steps back and surveyed his surroundings. There was nothing particularly amazing about the current location, but it was always a good idea to get an idea of where he was when he remembered to do it.

Ruiko Tainn
With Ranger’s disappearance, Kinis and Ruiko had finalized their distaste for their lifestyle as lone wolves and set their goal to staking out claimable lands in Relic Lore. The older Tainn’s own decision was to remain relatively near Swift River and their family, but it seemed his tastes on where to settle a pack were on the more particular scale. Nowhere seemed to feel like home, and so large male began to make his way south of the valley, only stopping at the creek for a brief refreshment. The day was cooler than most summer days, which was almost a relief to the hefty regal as the heat would have made his search near unbearable.

Having swam across a narrow strip along the water, Ruiko sloshed up the small bank and on to the grass, casting his thick fur in a swift shake. Water droplets flying, Ruiko paused a moment. A figure was not too too much of a distance away, the pelt of the stranger reminding him of deep soil and fire. As much as the Tainn male was anxious to explore the southern lands more thoroughly for a decent den site for his pack, he was also aware that he was in need of other wolves to settle in the land with him. Prowling forward casually, his stance held with light dominance, Ruiko remained on the other side of the creek than the smaller stranger. “Good day,” he called out, his own tone gruff as his stoical gaze cast over the other wolf.

Helaku Featherwind
The presence of somebody else was quickly noticed, as the sound of water being splashed about was rather evident. Helaku, however, waited for the stranger to speak first, uncertain if he would be like the other wolf he had encountered in the southern meadow. Thankfully, it didn't seem like that would be the case today, as the other male greeted him simply and calmly without rushing at him or acting insane. Helaku breathed a sigh of relief, glad that it was only the one who seemed to have gone mad.

<b>"And a good day to you. Are you from these parts?"</b> asked the Featherwind, anxious to get to know those who already lived here. He didn't like wasting time with small talk about the weather and where he was from. All of that was for a later date, and only if the strange in front of him ended up being a friend of sorts.

Ruiko Tainn
The tawny regal noted the sigh, though was uncertain what stirred this reaction; perhaps the stranger had wished to be left alone completely. Not dwelling too much on what the other wanted, as it had never been in his nature to care much what others were feeling spare for those close to him, the Tainn male instead took interest in studying the brilliant pelt of the rogue across the creek. He had never seen such molten colors on the fur of a wolf, and he was briefly curious as to where this wolf had come from.

The fiery male questioned him, and Ruiko’s ears flickered upon first response. “Born and raised,” he answered simply with a small flick of his tail, the male’s bright golden eyes shifting over the stranger as he continued to study him. “As I’ve never seen you before, I assume you aren’t,” he stated with a shrug of his shoulders, somewhat content that the stranger was calm and polite. Even while recruitment was heavily on his mind, Ruiko Tainn was going to be quite particular about what company he invited to join him in the creation of a pack.

After the brief interlude between the two, the large rogue excused himself from the others presence as he needed to round the lands again in interest to finding a place to call his own.
