A curious brow rose at the many expressions that stretched across Draven’s face, trying to make sense of all of them in the way that she did. It surprised her that he was so easy to read, but perhaps that was just because she had been through three children and understood how to read the wants and needs of others better than ever now. Though, adults were trickier. They’d been able to hide their emotions for much longer, and though the children had been in the world for a little over a year there was still much to learn and they were still, in fact, children.

Upon her approval, his face seemed to light up and she was shocked for a moment. She’d assumed that Draven had wanted to be of more aid in the pack as well as go and see his friend, but his reaction made her wonder…perhaps that wasn’t quite the reason at all. No, it couldn’t be.
