Kerberos Rigel
kerberos rigel

A small frown tugged at his features at the question. He supposed the male had been left in the dark on the going ons within the Draw. Perhaps it was for the best. Or maybe it was for the worst mentioning what he was about to thrust upon Tenebrae.

No actually. I need you to hold my position for a while. He cut straight to the point, his stance lowering slightly. I think I need some time to rebalance myself and I can't do that currently - you know, balancing a pack and all. I trust you and certainly Treyah does too mentioning she brought you here. The Rigel shifted his weight slightly, pale gaze fixed upon the dark male. Would he accept the challenge of leading?

Kerberos' words greatly surprised Tenebrae, as though he got there was some tension in the air, he assumed it was because of the current season. Though...there was also the fact Lacey had seemed to vanish, as he had noticed though she had stayed for a while after Treyah and he had found her, her scent once again dispersed from the borders.

But part of him assumed she had gotten a taste of freedom and simply wandered off, to get out from underneath her parent's gaze.

But regardless of all that, to be leader? This was certainly a suprise to him. Yet deep down, his heart was beating excitedly in his chest. To simply have leadership handed over to him wasn't something he was expecting but he wasn't about to turn the offer down.

"if you're sure, and you trust me, then I'll certainly try my best." He finally answered, after thinking for a few moments, as if he was carefully thinking over the proposition. "I'll keep the spot warm, until you're ready to come back to it."

"did...you want to talk at all?" The words were spoken as an offer, easy to turn down if Kerberos didn't wish to speak.

Thank you. He said with a soft tip of his head. He considered the male's offer but shook his head against it. That's a kind offer to make Tenebrae but no, I think I'm good. I don't wish to burden you further. He attempted a smile to the male but it was a bit weak. Things here were done so the smaller Rigel gave a silent goodbye and turned around. He had no intention on spreading the news of what had happened but obviously Tenebrae was free to do or say as he wished. The position was his now after all.

Tenebrae bowed his head slightly as the other man thanked him, before considering his offer. As Tenebrae expected, it was turned down before Kerberos gave a quiet farewell and left him to his owm thoughts.

For a moment, Tenebrae had no idea what to do. Should he alert the others to let them know what had just happened? Or perhaps should it be kept on the low down?

Finally making his mind up, Tenebrae tossed his head back and let out a simple howl. Better to let the other know, instead of leaving them in the dark.

Kerberos taking break, I'm leader for now.

And with that, he lowered his head and left the den as well, in the opposite direction Kerberos went in.

Garmir Ghostpaw
Happens somewhere after this thread.

- - -

Garmir stood by the immidiet outer premises of the pack's main den, awaiting for @Dread to accompany him. @Treyah had asked for Garmir to search for another missing wolf which at this point started to feel like his profession but curiously the lead female had asked him not to go alone. There were coyotes roaming nearby. A whole pack of them supposedly.

Garmir had unfortunately missed the encounter having been sleeping at that particular hour as it often was his habit to roam during night and rest during part of the day and so he found it hard to imagine a pack of coyotes was as serious threat as Treyah might suggest.

Still, he could not object to Treyah's wishes and so he idly stood there, staring Into the burnt forest while awaiting for escort.

Of all the things to worry about now, there were coyotes to watch out for? Great. But at least there was a chance to blow off some steam, Tenebrae thought briefly, running his tounge over his lips at the thought of sinking his teeth into the vermin's flesh. The damn creatures could be annoying and if they were groupong together, they could be downright deadly. Hopefully, at worst, the sight of two wolves and the snap of powerful teeth would chase them off. hopefully

Weaving his way through the trees, his gaze landed on Garmir as he arrived at the den. The dark male gave him a small nod as a sort of greeting.

"Ready to head off?"

Garmir Ghostpaw
@Dread

Garmir was as ready as he could be. He nodded to the dark furred male and then stepped aside as If to give him space. As much as he might dislike the idea, Tenebrae was the lead male and thus he should take point. Garmir always followed hierarchy even if he disliked it - It gave order into chaos.

"Yes... my lead." -Garmir replied, keeping intentional pause between his answer and addressing the other male's rank. A subtle but clear message that Dread might not enjoy same loyalty as Treyah from him, but that he still recognized him as a leader.

Garmir would follow Dread few paces behind in this expedition.

OOC: 27th morning.

---

Garmir had returned from his expedition beyond the mountains day prior. After briefing @Treyah of most important details, mainly locations of packs he had discovered and how far the coyotes had spread - as well as what little he had learned about @Triell ,the dutiful scout had went straight to rest.

He slept long and dreamless sleep, Garmir so exhausted from his journey that he had basically slumped down near the main den with his head resting against a tree log in upward angle. Uncomfortable but he had been so tired he could have slept on a pile of rocks.

It was not till early day's sun and coming heat shining right on his face that irritated him awake. Garmir groaned and then got up unto his feet, stretching and wondering why his neck hurt so much.....

Inactive I. Leader
Treyah Tainn
Nov 15, AM - light snow

Things had been quiet around the Draw, and while it was a refreshing change from the coming and going of travellers or the near-constant pestering of coyotes, it did make the young leader worry. With the days shortening and growing colder she would expect loners to start moving in, looking for somewhere to settle for the winter, and they never did quite get around to visiting their family on the other side of the mountain. She wasn't sure they would make it now, at least not until the snows melted. Just where was the year going on them anyway? And what would next spring bring with it?

The leader sprawled in a stretch, a low groan in the back of her throat. It sounded like a problem to save for a warmer day.
