Things might have blown over a little but the Selwyn was still desperate to make amends. He enjoyed his position as Guardian but as of late he'd had a niggling feeling that he wanted more, that he could be more if given the chance. He wanted to prove to himself and his alphas that he wasn't as brash as he appeared to be, or at the very least he could control it when the situation called for it. The point was that as much as he disliked change being stagnant and complacent was far worse.

Pacing back and forth outside the communal den, he mulled over his plan of action in his head. They would just talk, he would ask for Jessie's- and maybe the Old Man's-opinion and they would go from there. He would not demand or stomp his feet if he didn't get his way, they would just chat it out like the civilised folk that they were.

And that's all there was to it, nothing to get all nervous about.

If that was the case, then why were his legs all wobbly? What would Gabriel say, man up? Or would he take pity on his cowardly soul and give him a lick for good luck? Ah damn it, now wasn't the time to think of such things. He could cuddle his mate till his heart was content later, for now he needed to grow a pear.

Steadying himself, Askan tilted his head skyward and let out a deep, timberous call. There was little sense of urgency,it was more like heeeey, feel like talking, than anything else. Maybe a little too casual-considering things weren't entirely good with Jessie- but it was already too late to turn back. So instead he flopped down onto the floor in a comfortable laying position and began to play the waiting game.
