Lachesis "XIX" Stark
this is lach's exit post <3

He felt like an intruder. Part of him wished that Oksana (or Inna) would have dismissed him. As much as the raven’s disconnect affected him and the rest of the river wolves, it Oksana who suffered the most. His tail twitched uncomfortably as his pear gaze flitted between the two, his ears sweeping back against his crown. He listened to the little crow’s spiel, his muzzle canted toward her, his expression soft. He wondered if his own children had felt the same when he had become withdrawn after the matriarch’s death? His behaviour, however, had subsided after a few weeks but Inna’s… hers was only worsening. It made sense. She had lost her mother; her pain ran much deeper.

His paws shifted uncomfortably as he felt Inna’s hot gaze on him. For a moment he debated on taking his leave, like he had intended to earlier. But he could’t do that to Oksana—not when she had asked him to stay. The corners of his mouth dropped as he allowed his chartreuse pools to fall upon the older Baranski. He did not know what to say—this wasn’t a conversation he was supposed to be a part of. The pair fell silent after the raven said her piece, almost as though they were expecting him to chime in. He swallowed, words hesitating on the tip of his tongue before tumbling off, one after another. “Being outside your dinner, with Oksana, will help you. We are all suffering the same loss, but you cannot exclude yourself. It will only make things worse.” His frown deepened. “I should go now,” he started, a sigh accompanying his words as he took a step away from the pair. “Spend some time together. Maybe go on a hunt, or a patrol. The fresh air will do you some good, Inna.” He dipped his head, his tail swaying gently behind him. Talk to each other.” With that he continued to step away from them until he disappeared into the trees, allowing the towering red woods to devour his pale frame…

Exit.

Oksana Baranski

She'd asked Lachesis to stay because she knew the pale leader was important to her mum and she hoped he could say something that would help. When he told her she was the one that had to tell Inna how she felt she knew he was right so she tried to put how she felt into words. Oksana wasn't really sure it had come out right or if she'd said the right things. She'd never had to do this before and she'd never seen her mother like this before either. It was hard for to even know what to do in this situation.

Once she had told Inna how she felt her mother didn't respond by apologizing. She even tried to explain how she was feeling and the pup tried to understand but she didn't. She knew her grandmum was gone to the stars and her mum was sad about that but she was sad about it too and didn't stay in the den all the time. Everyone else was sad about it but they all still went out.

She looked to her uncle Lach again hoping he could say something to back her up and he told In a she needed to get out more. That it would be good for them to spend some time together. She looked back to her mum hoping his words might have helped and then she spoke, “It's okay mum I just want you to get better.” It wasn't okay though but seeing Inna's face she couldn't tell her that.

the Raven listened to her daughter and heard that she was upset by her mother's absence and it did upset her she hadn't been there for Oksana. She hated to admit it even to herself but she didn't know how to be there for Oksana and the pack when she was didn't even know where she in her own head. She knew apologizing for not being there would never be enough, she had missed what felt like so much time in her daughter's young life and there was no getting it back.

Lachesis’ words came to her telling her that time with Oksana and out of her den would help her. She felt there was some truth to his words, she looked back to Oksana and brushed her muzzle against her daughter's cheek. Lachesis took his leave once he’d said his piece. In a glanced around the forest before nudging Oksana, “Come we can go for a walk,” she said quietly before leading the dark child into the trees.
