Revon Argyris Archer
AW | early morning, overcast

She needed to be quicker; sneakier. Her ventures beyond the Aurora borders were always halted by either her mother or father, who could scale the mountain without making a single sound. Revon, unfortunately, was still clumsy as she grew into her long legs. Her oversized paws shuffled across the stone terrain, awkward and uncoordinated. Lighter, she thought to herself as she struggled to grasp the concept of walking on her toes and not the entire base of her paws.

What she needed was more practice—which was precisely why she was currently evading her parents. With a quick glance over her shoulder the girl disappeared into the mountain, her black tipped tail wagging gently behind her as excitement fuelled her steps. The morning glow of the sun helped mask her russet fur against the sea of gray—something she had learned early on. She longed for the same dark fur that adorned her father, for it would make nighttime adventures much easier, but the mountain princess would have to work with what was given to her. The red could be useful—she just had to figure out how.

Without hesitation she descended down the nature-made steps, curiosity fuelling her as she embraced the cooler air. Her father’s scent lingered in the damp air but it was stale, earning a sigh of relief from the little Archer. For now she was alone. Perfect. She hummed to herself as she approached the hidden lake, her tangerine eyes wide. She had never seen anything like it before. Hesitantly she reached forward and tapped the water with a forepaw, disrupting the mirror-like surface and earning a small, amused giggle from the fox.

Pyriel Albarn
Hope its okay I am throwing Pyriel in here.

He'd been up before the sun again or maybe he hadn't been to sleep, Pyriel wasn't sure since he felt like he hadn't slept at all. His nightmares had been very active the previous night. So much so he could remember most of what had happened in them. He really wished he didn't, they were full of the past things he did that he usually tried not to think about. It was often the worst things he'd done that haunted his dreams.

It was after rough nights like what he'd had that he put his duties off till a little later in the day. He usually like to have some time to himself after reliving his past all night. If he didn't go off by himself he liked to talk with Tinley but that hadn't been an option lately so he was left alone with these things still bothering him.

He knew of a prefect place that he'd discovered on his first day that would be a perfect place to sort through things. He made his way there after the sun had risen in the sky and down the stone steps. He wasn't expecting what he found when he reached the bottom. It was a pup and not just any pup but the child of his Alpha's, “Hello, What are doing down here?” He greeted the little girl as he came to closer to where she was.

The cavern was awfully quiet—too quiet—but it reminded her of her father, for he moved like a shadow and only spoke when necessary. Mother was quiet too, but a different type of quiet. More thoughtful. She was like a quiet sunrise, warm and filled with an array of colours.

Her toes curled at the thought, a smile still pressed to her dark lips as she poked at the water once more, disrupting the smooth surface. This time the giggle caught in her throat, the embers in her skull narrowing as the sound of approaching steps echoed throughout the underground. Go away! She wanted to scream, but her tongue remained slack between her canines, and instead her nose twitched. It was a pack member—one of the newer recruits that Revon had done well in avoiding since their arrival. She did not necessarily dislike them. She just did not have time for them. Not when there were adventures to be had and mischief to get into.

The voice consumed her as it filled the void around them, her pointed snout turning to greet the dark-eyed male. She nearly rolled her eyes at his question but kept herself in check. She was the alpha’s daughter after all. “Lookin’,” she answered with a casual roll of her shoulders, her tail giving a sharp flick to dismiss his question. “What are you doin’ down here?” She countered, a single brow lifted.

There was one thing about living in a pack that Pyriel didn't like and had never liked even when he was with the Bloodbreakers. There were times when he wanted a little time to himself to sort through things or just let his mind wander for a bit. In a pack that was sometimes made difficult by the presence of his packmates. It seemed this endeavour for a little quiet time was a perfect example of not finding a quiet place to go through the nightmares that had kept him up most of the night.

The pack pup seemed to have found her way into the cavern where he'd chosen to sort through things. He shouldn't have been shocked she was there he supposed, after all he'd found her father down there on this first day in the heights. At the time of course he was not aware that Greet was his new alpha. He'd quickly learned that he was and that the little wolf in front of him was Greet and Kyna’s daughter Revon.

He was however curious what she was doing down there without one of her parents. He had to restrain himself from rolling his eyes. She of course returned his question making him think about how he was going to answer. “Thinking,” he finally answered deciding against fabricating some other answer. “Do you come down here often?” He asked not that he particularly cared as long as she didn't fall in.

Thinking.

How boring.

She, too, had to refrain from rolling her eyes. Adults always engaged in such boring activities, making Revon certain she did not want to grow up. No thank you! Life was far more fun and entertaining as a child, for the possibilities were endless! Growing up meant rules and order. Boring crap. Stuff the little fox had no interest in.

Not yet, anyway.

At his question the Archer gave a quick shake of her head, her lips pursed as her tail tucked neatly, almost fox-like, around her coiled legs. “Nah,” she answered with a lazy shrug, her head falling slightly to one side. “Never been down here before.” Even though it was none of his business. She didn’t even know why she was sharing it with him. He was probably just going to tell on her for wandering so far from the Aurora borders.

Her nose wrinkled. “Why y’come down here t’think?” Couldn’t he have done his thinking elsewhere? Anywhere? Far away from her. The fox knew she couldn’t tell him to leave. He was older. He could get her into heaps of trouble. Heck, he could pick her up if he really wanted to and return her to the Heights! She had to be mostly nice. For adventure’s sake.

It seemed the underground cavern wasn't even safe to get a moment where he didn't have to worry about being bothered. Being that the child he had run into was the offspring of his Alpha's he couldn't very well shoo her away. He had to make the best of this situation even if he wasn't really in any mood to be entertaining a child. Pyriel could suck it up and play nice and by doing that he could find out more about the girl.

The first thing he found out was that she hadn't ever been to the cavern before. That did surprise him a little as he assumed her father would have brought her. Unless of course Greer wanted to keep this place for himself, he couldn't really blame the shadow. “Well that's a shame,” he stated, “Though you've seen it now so that something.” It wasn't like any place he'd been before which to him made it just a little more special than all the other places he'd been.

She wanted to know why he came here to think, “Because it's quiet and out of the way. I don't have to worry about being disturb.” At least he didn't usually have to when he came down but to be fair he didn't come down often. He expected the girl had found the underground cavern much in the same way he had so he didn't ask about that. The pale man looked to the water keeping his distance not wanting to see his own reflection. “So, I was thinking of doing a little scouting and maybe some hunting when I had finished up here but there's nothing wrong with doing that now. Would you like to accompany me?” He asked casually looking back at the girl.

Her ears twitched at his comment but she said nothing. Instead she refocused her gaze back to the still, black surface of the water, a line forming between her brows. She was not interested in entertaining an adult. Had her mother or father sent him after her to make sure she stayed out of trouble? Or had he taken it upon himself to keep an eye on her? Or had he come down here to seek out solitude as well and Revon had ruined his peaceful ‘alone time’? Her nostrils flared in amusement at the thought but she remained quiet, the tip of her tail twitching.

Quiet and out of the way. Precisely why she had come to the cavern. And the Aurora second had ruined that. The irony. She nodded in agreement to his words but, again, did not respond. It appeared she had been hanging around her father too much and had adopted some of his silent mannerisms. Not that she minded. She was not really in a conversational mood. However, the next cluster of words that filled the cavern caught her interest, causing her fiery gaze to land on the older agouti once more. He was asking her to join him on a scouting, maybe some hunting, mission? A brow arched. Huh. He really wanted to earn some brownie points with her parents. She shrugged. “I guesso,” she answered dismissively as she uncoiled her hindquarters from the ground. “Where y’goin’?”

The pale agouti man sat back on his haunches as he looked out over the water. His ear flicked at the faint drip of water from somewhere within the cavern but the water remained still. As he looked out across it he wondered how deep it might be and if there were any fish in there. His gaze drifted to the child, she was a quiet one which reminded him of her father. He got along well with Greer which he was thankful for considering he was the man's second. It was not a position he had asked for nor was he sure he even wanted it after his time in the blood breakers. However, it was his and he would do his best in it and so far it had not been bad, much more relaxed than his previous position.

With his time in the cavern having been interrupted before it had even begun Pyriel posed a question to Revon. It was more of an offer for her to come along with him to do some scouting and maybe they could grab something to eat if they traveled too far from the territory. She seemed agreeable but had a question of her own, a rather reasonable one too. “I've found a path I haven't been down yet and thought I would check it out, see where it led. It's outside the territory and could take a little while to find out where it goes.” He informed her of all the details just in case she decided it wasn't for her. Being a pup and having possibly not traveled too far past the border he thought she might be up for it.

The man wasn’t very specific with his answer but she didn’t mind. It only added to the thrill of the adventure. Even if it was with company she didn’t want. Just because they were going on a scouting mission together it didn’t mean she actually had to talk to him, right? Her ear twitched in his direction as he spoke, her fiery gaze still fixated on his tawny frame. “Hmmm,” she hummed as she shuffled her forepaws, her head falling to the side. “Yea, I s’pose I’ll come with you.” This new path Pyriel spoke of might actually be of some use to the little fox in the future. But only if she knew where it was. Which meant she would have to accompany the dark-eyed subordinate.

She took a step toward the path she had used to get down to the hidden lake, her brows pinched together as she waited for the older male to take the lead. The scarlet Archer could dip out of the adventure once she got bored or tired of the newcomer’s company. There was also the possibility that it wouldn’t be completely awful, but she was doubtful. However Revon couldn’t be rude, or passive, to her parents’ subordinates. That wasn’t how proper mountain princesses behaved. And she did not want to be scolded—especially by her mother. So she had no choice but to play nice.
