It's in the eyes I can tell you will always be danger

Renier admired Torbine. It was a great kingdom. It had been especially nice to see something structured and thriving. Instead of dying, and falling apart at the seams. But, he held the same amount of fondness for it as his children did. There was somethings to love, but it was rather rigid. He had no qualms when Morganna wished to return to the Lore. Even the part about her going ahead, and letting each one of them find their own way.

Showing their mettle. Something they were all too eager for. Even now he smiled. Their elated faces a permanent memory. It had taken great restrain not to trail them the entire way. He didn't need any more ghosts. But, now was as good as any to let them attempt to fly.

Golden stare drifted along the edge of the meadow. Reminded how he had had those wants. Was it really here he'd set off with Ryvet in tow to discover what their guardians were keeping from from? He'd had quite a mouth on him then, and wondered how he hadn't been severely punished. Especially, considering the awful disease they could have gotten. Heading west, he debated on paying his father a visit. But, he was not the only one Renier thought of seeing. Eventually, he’d get to the Ridge. He was all too curious and slightly concerned how it had been in his absence. Ravenna, and Enoki heavy on his mind. Though surely Sven and Nicolo had gotten exactly what they had wanted. A new litter of expected Archers. So he liked to imagine they were all well. Maybe, the Ridge was doing okay for once. He wasn't about to start there. Truthfully, he could only imagine seeing Ravenna.

The afternoon sun made his gaze narrow, and steps quicken. He had  vague timeline he wanted to stick toof his list of wants. He would see his father, then move onto the lagoon, and possibly Grizzly Hollow. Feeling confident soon enough he'd see Morganna and their fearsome five.

Romanov Archer
couldn't help myself srry

Romanov Archer

The boy had planned carefully to slip pass @Sven, @Ravenna and others who might be lurking near the borders - how well he went unnoticed was unknown but he had made it this far. He just needed to look. A small glimpse outside of the willows that protected him from the rest of the world. Some might have found them smothering or constricting but he loved them. These open fields did not soothe the Archer. Instead, they openness plagued him with the worry of being spotted by someone or something.

Carefully he tried to slink about but the stench of someone crept into his nose. Romanov's face crinkled with a mix of annoyance and a bit of distress. The strangeness of the scent meant he had not been detected by someone familiar but that meant he was also in the presence of someone unknown. Sure he could turn tail and slink back to the Willows now but Romanov had come out here to do his own work. A stranger was not going to stand in the way of him and his sisters.

While his position was not aggressive, Roman planted himself to the ground not willing to waver. The piebald boy was unsure if he had even been spotted yet but if he had he was going to make his point to the stranger clear.

Rather he heard something coming, or felt it, his steps slowed, and he shot a glance behind his shoulder.  It would take a lot more to throw him off guard. The fields appeared empty, just the slight breeze shifting through the long golden blades. About to brush it off,  there was a pop of white that didn't belong. Renier had to look for a moment to see it wasn't a swan. It was attached to a dark face with ears to match. Must be one of the "chosen" ones. There was no doubting who his mother nor father was. Why the hell was he just sitting there?

He wasn't sure if it was a stance of guardian ship, or a testament he wasn't leaving. Lets test that. Facing the child, the few russet hairs on his shoulders raised, and he stepped in the youngster's direction. Gold eyes narrowed in the slightest way as he looked the boy up and down. He had no reason to hurt him, but seemed to recognize the boldness. Like Ava had done he wondered how far it would go.

"Are you the keeper of the meadow?" His tone made it clear it was a serious inquire as he halted, a wolf length or two from the Archer pup.

Romanov Archer
He didn't like being looked at that. Eyed up and down. Yet even when the stranger grew closer, Romanov grew bolder. He held his ground with his chest puffed and head held high. "Keeper of the south." At least as much of the south as he had seen. It was a bit of a fib. Romanov rarely left the Ridge, meaning most of the south was untouched by him. This strange wolf wouldn't know that, though.

"What are you doin' here?" A pale brow arched above amber eyes. The Archer boy was ready to make this male's business his own business. If he couldn't find his sisters today, well, perhaps he could at least go home with information for the pack about wolves in the surrounding area. That was making himself useful, right?

The young wolf did not back down. He held his frame high with confidence. Renier could only think he did not get that from his father even if it was more of an Archer trait. He quickly shoved the cruel thought aside. He had little reason to like Nicolo and didn't need him taking any more space in his mind.

"Keeper of the south huh," he drawled as if he wasn't quite convinced. But, instead appeared like he was chewing the idea over. What was he doing here? He wasn't sure what he wanted to share with the pup. Or if he should just make something up. "I'm making sure the south is in good care. Are you its only keeper?" It wasn't a lie. He was here to see what had been done with the place in his absence. Was it the way Sven and Enoki had envisioned? No doubt Ravenna was still clinging to it because he couldn't help feel it was probably just the same if not worse.
