look what you made me do

Summit felt spoiled in the Heights. He'd never been treated this well. Just as Greer has said he was looked after. Already the heat in his neck had lessened, and there wasn't too much fluid dripping from it. Or he thought. Attica had had the medicine, and Pyriel had set it to work. He could get use to this. Why hadn't he left home sooner? He knew why, but the reasons seemed even dumber now. How could he ever think his father would change when he didn't even like looking at him. A grumble passed through his jaws, and he re-positioned his seat.

Set a top a high perch of stone, he was looking down on the stream, debating about what he ought to do when the sun went down. It was not quite dusk, and his stomach was starting to tell him it was hungry. A tiny rock clicking down the hillside brought his attention upon a dark figure. He might have thought it was Greer in the silent moment, but the eyes were wrong. "Hey," he called, motioning for her to join him. If she wanted to. They were pack mates after all.

Abaddon
Truthfully, Abaddon would have been content to watch the male from a distance. Might have been seen as rude or creepy but it was just what she preferred. Small talk wasn't her forte. Regardless she moved towards him at the sound of his voice. She took her time getting close before settling on her rear about a foot away.

Her yellow eyes flickered from his face to his neck. "How's it feeling?" She rumbled softly, trying to gauge how well it was patched up. Regardless of his answer, she'd make sure to check on it better if he'd allow her. The large female knew that wolves would lie about their injuries out of a wounded pride. Granted Summiter had seemed to be a real troop about this ordeal. Something that she could admire in him.

He didn't bother to watch and see if she did either. Eventually, he cocked his head as she settled beside him. Appraised him. Maybe, she was a nurse of sorts. Checking on him. He didn't see any reason to lie about it. He'd learned lying about wounds could prove fatal.

"Better. Not as much heat and swelling. It sure itches though. Maybe, it stopped drippin' ?" He stretched his neck enough she might be able to see. Wasn't like he could take a gander. Maybe, she knew of something else to help.

"You an unofficial medic?" If she was highly knowledgeable he wanted to keep that in mind, not that he planned on injuring himself any time soon. But, the more he knew the better off he thought he'd be. It was just part of the game of life.

Abaddon
"Somethin' like that." She said with a smirk as venom yellow eyes took note of the wound. Her mother had taught her enough to survive but she was never interested in the role of a medic. Caring for others was not the dark woman's forte. She could do it from time to time but making a living out of it sounded like a personal hell.

She noticed a slight ooze to it still but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up and watched for. "Not done just yet it seems. Give it another day or two and I'm sure it'll be properly closed." Then she was going to prescribe him something that was non-plant related. "This'll sound silly and impossible but try not to move your neck around too much. You'll keep opening it up if you swing around a bunch." Abaddon addressed in a tone that was akin to a mother telling her child to behave.

A hint of more hung in her tone, and Summit couldn't let it simply slip by. "A knowledgeable solider any closer?" A playful smirk matched his question, even though he was not necessarily teasing about it. He wanted to see if he could guess. Get her to tell him more.

An eye twitched at her verdict. But she wasn't the cause of the small irritation. It was just the thought how it had happened in the first place. He attempted to shove the feeling aside, glad to have her opinion it would soon be gone. A chuckle erupted from him, not missing her motherly tone. Making him the littlest homesick. "Well I'll surely try not to get any more fights until then." He'd leave it up to her to take him seriously or not. He didn't always try to find trouble. Mindful of her advice, he eased to the stream, taking his time reaching for a drink. With his neck tucked it was a funny sight.
