Sorrel, you've disturbed a flock of geese as they rest during their winter migration! for @Nevrakis

The general spookiness of the forest around her set Sorrel's nerves on edge as the dark female moved through the trees. It was so quiet, too quiet for what a forest should be. There should be bird songs and just general noises of a forest.

Her silver eyes swept over the barren brush that lay under the trees, the wind picking up and making her shiver slightly. Between the silence, barrenness and the cold, Sorrel began to suspect this forest was haunted. After all, why else would it be so...eerie? Hopefully, it wasn't a big forest because Sorrel didn't wish to stay too long here.

Yet the rustling of something caught her attention, making her ears swing around as she turned to face the noise. There was nothing she could see, in the fogginess but already on edge, Sorrel warily eyed the direction it came from, hoping it was a squirrel or something and not anything else. Stepping towards the noise, Sorrel wondered what made it...

A yell of fright escaped her maw as the loud honking and flapping of wings hit her ears, making her stumble back and trip over her own paws. a flock of geese swept into the air as Sorrel's heart raced, her mind spinning at what just happened.

Inactive VI. Yearling
Nevrakis

Nevrakis was slowly making his way down south, and meeting a couple of wolves on his way too. So far they seemed friendly enough, but he did not want to take his chances and jinx it. Meeting a not-so-nice wolf during winter was not on his agenda. As he was so deep in his own thoughts, the yearling did not notice as the scenery around him changed, the trees becoming more sparse and yet letting less light through, and a strange fog curling around his legs as he walked. It was only when a rustling in the near distance caught his attention that he took note of his surroundings, especially the complete silence around him. This was not peaceful like the glen had been; it was eerie and made his fur stand on edge.

Now slinking rather than walking, the yearling made his way through the forest, and towards the rustling as he considered whatever was making it to be better than the complete silence when he was alone. Before he even realized what was happening, something in front of him exploded into loud honking and flapping of wings, as well as a frightful yell, that had him flattening himself against the forest floor. "Ti diáolo?" Nevrakis stayed crouched for a few moments after the... the geese flew away, honking indignantly at apparently being disturbed, before slowly raising to a standing position. "O Theé mou," he muttered to himself, closing his eyes briefly and releasing a sigh of relief.

Now that he was not in immediate danger, he scanned the area around him until his eyes fell upon another wolf. A female. She had a darker coloured pelt similar to his, but her eyes were a silver that gleamed in the blueness of the forest. "Hi there," he said with a nervous chuckle, tail wagging slowly behind him in the hopes that she was friendly.

Though her heart was still racing, Sorrel managed to collect her mind enough that she recognized that it was a flock of geese she had scared and in turned scared her. However, she was thankful it was just the geese and not someone]thing else looking to attack her.

yet the frights seemed to not be over, as an unfamiliar voice speaking in an unfamiliar tongue reached her ears. This caused her to leap to her paws, swinging around as her eyes widened in fright as her ears flattened to her skull and her tail curled under her stomach. Was it a spirit? Had she upset or awoken whatever graveyard reigned here, by disturbing the geese? But as her pale eyes darted around, trying to find the source of the words, a yearling of all things revealed himself.

Oh thank the ancestors, it was just a yearling. Though she was still shaking a bit, Sorrel relaxed a little and allowed her tail to drop by her legs. Her pelt was shaken out out, to loosen the debris that had become stuck in her fall.

What a fool she must have looked like, getting scared by a few birds and a yearling.

"Hello,"
she replied a little shakily. "Did the geese spook you too dear? I'm sorry about that, must have given them my own fright."

Inactive VI. Yearling
Nevrakis

The yearling stepped back quickly as the female leaped around in fright, her body posture practically screaming don't hurt me. He was about to speak in an attempt to comfort the female, but it seemed when she realized who - or what - he was, she calmed down. Letting himself relax also, Nevrakis nodded in response to her question. "Yea, I wasn't really paying attention and walked right into them as they flew up into the air." He fluffed up his fur, still feeling the coldness in the air around them. Or maybe it was not the cold. There was the constant feeling of something crawling on his skin, like he was being watched by something hiding in the fog.

"It's kinda... spooky here, isn't it?" He commented, wheat yellow eyes casually resting on the female's face. Now that he was not alone it was less spooky... well, slightly less spooky. The yearling felt that he could never be truly comfortable in the complete silence of the forest, no matter who he was with. It just was not his thing. "Oh, my name's Nevrakis, by the way," he said cheerfully, or as cheerfully as he could in a place like this. "What's yours?"
