Drestig Avalon
I was hoping @Chimera or maybe @Neko would like to check in on the patient :) - set ~2-3 weeks after the injury

Things had progressed, from excrusiating to frustrating. The pain had abated to general soreness for which he was very grateful, it meant his head was much clearer now and he spend less time sleeping. That had let to an all new irritation though, he might be over the pain, but he was still mostly unable to move. And so he was left with many hours of boredom, separated from his pack by this imobility.

Even worse, was the news that no one had seen Sphinx since before the hunt. It was like deja vu, except this time he was wholly barred from the search for his own daughter, forced to remain still in the infirmary den on the strict orders of both Neko and @”Jessie”. It was beyond frustrating, and it left him in quite the dark mood, even on sunny days like this, when he should be enjoying what might be the last chance to bask in this warm spot right outside his ‘prison’. He just couldn’t find it in himself to care about it right now.

Chimera "Kasai" Avalon
Chimera was in denial, stricken by guilt. He should have helped the pack with their most recent hunt; but, somehow, he just hadn't felt like it. While Drestig had gotten injured and the rest of the family got the chance to work with the wolves of Hearthwood River, the dark boy was on his own playing in a world that no one else could see. He had spied on the commotion when his father returned home, watching as the gray-touched Leader limped; and, yet, he never felt it right to approach him. Today was different, though, and even if he still felt that sharp pang in his chest - as if he had been kicked hard in the ribs by a defiant buck - it was about time for him to visit. He had already lost track of the time since he had even really spoken to his parents. In his mind, since the past few months, The Red Hound had been independent and self-sufficient in surviving on his own...

He had left Anwen to her own devices, telling her that he wanted to visit Drestig on his own and that he insisted that he go alone (for good measure, he had made certain to "warn her" that his father was a strict and stoic man, and that it was best if they weren't seen together for now). So, while she scouted the northern reaches of the Fields, Chimera let his quivering paws find their way to the place where Drestig was resting. At first, he stared at the entrance to the den, wondering if the darkness within would shift and give away a hint of his father's silvered coat. When it didn't, he poked his head inside, his batty ears quivering atop his skull.

"Dad?" he softly called, determined to not let his courage give away to shame. "You... awake?"

Neko Inali
Neko made her way towards the infirmary carrying part of an elk leg she had taken from the cache. It was time for her to check up on her alpha and make sure he got plenty to eat. In light of the mood he had been in lately, she had made a point to let him have his space. Sometimes she would pretend to be checking her herb caches while discreetly observing him, though she didn’t doubt he knew she was there to check on him.

She knew she couldn’t blame him for being in a bad mood. It was hard enough to be injured and unable to move about as he wished, but it must be even more difficult for an alpha. Not to mention that he worried for his missing daughter and was unable to search for her. She couldn’t imagine how excruciating that must be for him. She loved Sphinx and worried for her too, but she wasn’t a parent, and she knew that made it made it even more difficult. She remembered how she felt when she lost her own birth-pack, and how she was not able to go back and search for them after falling stars ravaged the land.

As she approached the infirmary, she noticed that Kasai was already there, softly calling for his father. She slowed her pace and approached quietly. As much as she felt the need to check on her patient, it was also important for father and son to have their time as well. She remained close enough to offer support if it was needed, but distant enough to not interfere.
