Cheedo

Shortly after she arrived and learned that they were digging a den for Lenae she offered her help. Everything that had been going on inside her head had to be put to the side so she could at least do this. She hoped that maybe if Lenae had a den it would make her more inclined to believe what Cheedo had told her.

Her gaze fell in the healer as he spoke stating her help would be appreciated. Her gaze went to the rabbit when he spoke of it before returning to him. “I will take care of it later,” she stated calmly. She had a particular purpose in mind for the prey that she'd caught and caching it was not it.

Piety arrived moving toward Cyril first a greeting him before then turning to Lorcan placing a kiss on his cheek. Cheedo turned her head from the display, she just couldn't see it after the thoughts that had been going through her head over the last hours. The pale woman then came to her and nipped her crown which Cheedo didn't stop, “I'm sorry,” the told Piety in response to her statement that she'd been missed. It wasn't the time or the place to go into where or why she had been away.

That girl kip came and it got just that much more awkward for Cheedo. She wanted to go and wait until they were done to that she could speak with Piety about what she'd done but she remained trying to keep her expression neutral. Her gaze then went to Cyril as Lorcan spoke to him, he looked about as happy to be there as she felt. As Lorcan once again spoke of the rabbit at her feet going to the cache she lowered her head over it. “This in not for the cache,” she said evenly. Hoping he might get the picture this time.

She waited to see what would happen next and it seemed that Lorcan would start the digging. Her gaze drifted around the crowd that had gathered. She wondered who would go after him, maybe she should. Cheedo was feeling very unsure if herself in the moment. Finally after he had been digging for a moment she made a decision. “Let me do some,” she said stepping up so that she could take her turn.

Cyril Kael-Santoro

The ivory female didn’t seem keen on wanting to help either; her tone said everything. She almost sounded … angry at Lenae? He blinked, his yellow gaze landing on the feisty girl before they returned to the group of wolves gathered at the base of the tree. Maybe he’d poke her brain later—or Odin’s, for he seemed close to her.

The Kael-Santoro remained where he was, his tail lashing out behind him as he listened to Lorcán give out directions. The boy didn’t care. As much as he liked Lenae and wanted to help her out Cyril wanted nothing to do with the tawny stranger. He’d find another way to help out the yellow-eyed girl. But this—this he wanted no part of. His gaze hardened as Lorcán gave him an order. Something about bringing the rabbit at Cheedo’s paws to the caches. His tongue pressed to the roof of his mouth as he attempted to think of a response, but nothing came. Instead, his attention fell to the small agouti as she announced that the rabbit wasn’t for the caches. Good. That was all he needed to hear. With a shrug and a sharp flick of his tail Cyril dismissed himself, his dark figure disappearing into the mountain trees as he distanced himself from the group. He would likely experience some backlash from his mother or the tawny male but he didn’t care. He wasn’t in the mood to play nice and listen to the male that was trying to replace his father. Part of him didn’t even want to stay at the tarn but he knew he had to. For now, at least. Even if he was being difficult he knew—or hoped—his presence made his mother happy.

Cyril exit.

As much as she didn’t want to - as much as being here sucked and she hated every moment of it - she wouldn’t just back off from it. The little wolf watched as first Lorcan began to dig, and then Cheedo took her turn. The black pup turned and headed away just after that, which was just as well. They had plenty of wolves here to dig the den out.

”My turn,” she said when Cheedo had been digging for a bit, sliding into the hole the two bigger wolves had made and beginning to work her way deeper into it as well. The dirt was hard and packed, and the roots were a pain, but she managed to dig almost as much as the larger wolves had before she was panting and had to back her way out to take a break.

She almost enjoyed the way the dirt covered her pelt, making it less white and more dingy eggshell. She liked her filthy brown paws. That she didn’t look so clean and crisp and pretty like this.

It wasn’t so bad after all.
