Makvala Stark

I've got memories and travel like gypsies in the night

Makvala nodded, taking her father’s explanation to heart, even if she didn’t really understand the concepts that he was presenting at the level of the adults around her. Sky was angry, but it might not be bad, but it also might not be good. Good and bad – she’d heard those words but she didn’t really understand them… at least not yet. She knew it would take a little time, and a lot more questions for her to get it right. “What… good… bad?” She asked, her voice softening, almost covered up by the sound of the drops that softly pattered against the foliage that surrounded them.

She glanced over at Legolas long enough to see his nose crinkle as a water drop hit it. She couldn’t help but giggle a little bit. It wasn’t that bad! She didn’t agree with Leith’s tactics, but she agreed to a degree that their little brother needed to get out more. The rain wasn’t going to hurt them, as papa had just said.

He assured her that her brother would not make the sky angrier, and that he was just talking to it. She held a skeptic look. It didn’t look like he was talking to it. It looked like he was fighting with it. She didn’t imagine that the sky liked to be fought with. After all, she didn’t like it when Leith fought with her, or when he tackled her, so why would the sky like it? She kept her eyes locked on her father’s daunting and towering form as she awaited his explanation.

Legolas Stark

His little jaws stretched wide as he shuffled back into the den, his little brows furrowed as he dismissed his older littermates and father with a sharp flick of his tail. He wasn’t interested in coming face-to-face with the sky-water. In fact, the ivory boy wanted nothing to do with it. Legolas was only interested in returning to his nap and the solitude of the den. Away from his rambunctious siblings. Maybe one day he would engage in their obnoxious behaviour but today was not that day. Neither was tomorrow. But, eventually, Legolas would break out of his shell… hopefully. Maybe. He wasn’t keen on the sky-water but it did smell kind of life outside the den. Like adventure.

He gave his head a soft shake before he hunkered down in the darkest corner of the den, his tail wrapping around his small body like a scarf. He really did need a nap… he was starting to think like his brother… Leggy falls asleep / exit.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark

His children, he was learning, were very predictable.

Makvala listened intently to his explanation, digesting every word that tumbled off his tongue. Processing; storing for later. Legolas becoming disinterested in his siblings’ antics and isolating himself in the depths of the family den. And @Leith just being… Leith.

He smiled. Their differences made him love them even more.

Good is when you and your siblings listen to mom and dad, he explained, his features softening as he pressed a quick lick to his daughter’s forehead, and bad is when you don’t. That was the easiest way to explain it to her—for now. I’ll explain more after a nap… how does that sound? He suggested as he gently nosed his daughter away from his pale chest. C’mon, Lee, you can bark at the sky later, he called out to his energetic son as he pushed himself to a stand. It was time to round up his children and squeeze an hour (or two) of rest out of them before allowing them to adventure beyond the den once more…

Leith Stark
He could feel the strange looks his family was giving him, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. Let them think what they wanted, they’d be thankful when the boom monster was scared off by him and he saved them all. But, it was with great disappointment that his father called his name. He turned, watching the pale man gather himself and his sister with a sour look. Fine, quit when it was just getting fun. He huffed, turning and trotting back into the den. Glancing over at his sleeping sibling, he smirked and gave himself a big shake before curling up at the back.
