OOC: Forward date to 6-15-18 @Shrike Sen's just making a mess :P

There were flowers everywhere. The trees were absolutely covered in the pink and white flowers and Sen found it...odd. He liked flowers here and there but this was a bit excessive of nature. Sure there were other trees that didn't have the flowers on them but then there would be more of them and more after that. It was actually making him a bit mad if he were honest. So what could he do to make himself happy? Tear some of the pretty flowers into pretty shreds.

The dusky male lunged for a low hanging branch with an abundance of flowers and felt a satisfying snap in his jaws. Landing on his toes he considered if he should just continue tearing branches off or just start with the one. No, he would finish what he started. A smile that was hidden by the branch formed across his inky lips as he closed his multi-colored eyes and proceeded to shake the branch for all its worth. Once he was felt he had shaken it enough he dropped it and placing a paw on it to hold it still he tore at the remaining flowers throwing them here and there.

Now this was fun.

Shrike

Shrike was drawn in by the sound of movement. A little bit of shuffling wouldn't have caught his interest, but it sounded violent, chaotic. These were not his woods, but the Big Black beast certainly moved through them as though they were. His footfalls were purposeful and his pace quick as he weaved through the trees, his ears tipped forward as he listened intently. The scent of blood never reached his nose, so it wasn't as though he was about to walk into the middle of a fight, or even a hunt. So what then?

His mind wandered through the possibilities, till he emerged in the grove and-was honestly, was quite disappointed. A lone, large black male stood in the centre of the grove, surrounded by shredded petals and dead flowers.

"Surely there are better things around here to sink your teeth into." He rumbled, arching a brow in question.

The satisfaction of taking something beautiful and vibrant and just tearing it to shreds pleased him to no end. The flowers tore with little resistance and he was able to strip the branch rather quickly. If only the smell from the flowers wasn't as strong. No helping that when one was shaking them to and fro especially when he was right in the middle of it. Tearing into the last remaining flowers Sen's ears flicked as he heard someone approach. He had been making quite a ruckus, someone was just bound to come and investigate.

The dusky male might have ignored the newcomer but it was the words the other shadowed male spoke that caught Sen's attention. For a moment Sen simply considered him, a slow smile spread across his face. Oh, and are you offering? He questioned taking a stalking step forward, over the forgotten branch. Because I was finding tearing the pretty things to shreds quite amusing but you might be more entertaining. Another step forward was taken. The thought of simply lunging for the stranger crossed his mind but Sen wanted to hear what this shadow had to say for himself. He might just turn out to be more entertaining than the flowers, which honestly wouldn't be hard.

Shrike

Shrike didn't move from his claimed spot. He wasn't one to be threatened, by words or actions. If anything he revelled in it all, the challenge, the taste of risk upon his tongue. The great black beast smiled, though it didn't reach his eyes, it was all a ploy, a habit he'd fallen into over the years. Very few things in this world made him happy these days, but he would be a liar if he claimed he wasn't at least a little curious.

"There's plenty of flesh around. Coyotes in the hundreds, perhaps a vulnerable pup or two." He shrugged, his gaze roaming over the mess the man had made. A lone petal clung to the stranger's flank, a splodge of colour against the pitch black of his coat. For a moment Shrike considered pointing it out but dismissed the issue with a flick of his ear. It was irrelevant. "Is that what you want, to hurt?"

It wasn't every day that Shrike came across a man like this, the sort that had shrugged off the constraints of morality, no longer cared about what was good and righteous. If that was indeed the case then perhaps this encounter wouldn't be a complete waste of his time, perhaps there was more to this than met the eye.
