Kieron O’Deorain
July 27th; Nighttime; Scattered Clouds, full moon rising; 82.4 ° F, 28 ° C.

The full moon was on the rise, the official marker that a full month had since her departure passed. Kieron wasn't quite sure now what exactly Askan had sent her out for. While she had spied on a small, red-furred yearling somewhere along the more northern parts, she didn't think to make contact - with him or his pack mates. After all, a small part of her mission was to mostly observe. If anything, the boy seemed troubled, and it concerned Kieron to a point that maybe the coyotes were running rampant along the borders of the Rye fields.

She made herself scarce, skirting south and into the more wooded areas of the forest until she was met with sudden plunk of something darting into the water. Her ears perked, her gaze finally settling along the edges of a pool where the surface barely rippled. A dace gulped at the surface, but the wolf was in no mood to fish or hunt. In the time that she had been gone, she had dodged packs of coyotes but had yet to be unknowingly lured into their schemes. She smiled to herself, perhaps she was a touch too clever for them. But, then again, simply fading into the night was bound to be predictable by now.

The fish that visited Kieron's part of the stream wriggled away with a noisy splash and she squared up her front paws where she stood. She scanned her immediate surroundings. If there was a pack up in the Fields, there might have been one nearby. No forest would be this quiet if there weren't wolves hidden in its depths...

'cause baby i'm howling for you

He didn't recognize anything and that was so refreshing. These woods were more alive than the place he had been in for the last year and a half. The lively scents flooded his nose and brain. He breathed it all in, taking his time to enjoy the new setting. Oh but there was something else more exciting. Something more lively than any tree. He was not alone and it was not Tilly.

The Rigel's form looped around a few trees as the sound of soft flowing water beckoned him forward with the scent of the stranger. The damp earth masked it some but not completely. His yellow eyes scanned the area to try and spot whoever it was. Truth be told, he almost looked over them completely. He was lucky there were a few slivers of moonlight to illuminate the silver guard hairs on her form. They sort of looked like Tilly but the eyes were all wrong. Well, wrong to be Tilly. The stranger's eyes were actually a rather nice shade of green.

They'll get away if you're not fast enough. He called out softly as another fish made its grand escape.
