Sphinx Avalon
For @Jessie and @Laike || Early evening ; light snow - 25° f

For those that called the open landscape of the rye fields home, it seemed they finally were given a little breathing room. Over the past couple of days Sphinx had noticed the slow and gradual drop in visits to their borders from their overly aggressive cousins during her routine patrol each morning and evening. After discussing the predicament of the pack in length with her mother not long ago, this newly discovered information pleased the growing yearling. Perhaps it was the recent drop in temperature granted the change in seasons and scarcity of prey thanks to the over hunting in the area that cooled the jets of the coyotes, but it was a win Sphinx would take regardless and surely the pack would be pleased as well to hear of her findings.

Atop the Lookout Post now; where she usually rested during the end of her patrols before heading home, her head tilted back toward the heavy skies above that began to sputter out the first soft flurries of snow. A couple fluttering about her speckled frame and adorning the top of her snout while releasing a call for both her mother and Laike. If it was indeed true that the coyotes were finally moving on it was best to alert the leaders now. To ease the stress she knew her mother felt towards being essentially trapped in her own home even if just by some degree. But, there was also a pressing matter Sphinx wanted to attend to and had quietly stewed upon in hopes of clearing out the labyrnth of emotions she felt. To no avail. Unable to do anything about it granted the house arrest the coyotes put on the Rye wolves, but now a chance to actually do something seemed far too grand to pass up. If they allowed her that is.

Thus she waited.

Laike Artemieva

He was typically not called for by his own members. It was a briefly welcomed change from strangers hounding him down. Although it was quickly wiped away by an anxiety. It was Sphinx who acted as a usual babysitter for his own children. Was something wrong with them? Was something wrong with her? He did not enjoy the idea of trouble coming to any of the children -- younger or older.

Laike was a slow man by nature but he plowed through the territory to reach where the call had originated from. When he arrived, he quickly circled Sphinx with a protective gaze as he made sure there was not a fur out of place nor a scratch that shouldn't be. Finally he stopped in front of her with a soft frown on his face. Sphinx, is everything alright? He asked without being able to hide the worry in his question.

Jessie Tainn

As of recently, Wild Rye Fields had become a popular spot for visitors of an unkindly nature. Trespassors of multiple kinds seemed to think that a pack with heavily marked borders was a good one to mess with. Jessie could think of no rationale to what was happening, except that now that their cousins were gone, loners felt more bold in their actions. It was unacceptable and the Tainn was glad that the Field's pack had enough members to take care of what was dealt out to them.

When her daughter called from the outskirts of the territory, Jessie only assumed it was another thing going wrong for the Fields, because that would be their luck. The monochrome woman started for the borders, gaining speed as she neared. Laike's question did not go lost upon the Rye Queen's ears, so when she finally approached the her daughter and co-lead, she said nothing, but looked over the area, searching for anything that seemed out of place before returning her gaze to Sphinx.
