The majority of the Rye members began to trickle in to where Ade waited, Risaela being the first she noticed while unbeknownst to her Cancer was the first on the scene, though he hung back in the distance. Offering the girl a avunvular smile, before the peppered Sphinx appeared giving the Artemieva a brush of her shoulder.  A content rumble rippled through her chest as her gaze peered over at the Avalon. Both yearlings had troubling childhoods, but to see them strong, healthy and happy for what she could tell, always put a smile upon her face. They reminded her so much of herself having lost both of her parents when she was young, Adelayde related greatly to what they went through and will always go through. They had a tough road, but they were survivors.

What Adelayde would give for her parents to be able to meet their grandchildren...

The Rye matriarch wasn't far behind, the speckled woman joining the few that had arrived already. Her children who had been following Sphinx arrived quickly, her son teeming with excitement as he greeted her with a touch of his nose. The mother returned with an affectionate lick upon his crown as his excited words began to flow from his maw. Before she could answer, her husband joined them teasing their son. Reaching over the blonde cub, Adelayde greeted her mate with a kiss upon his chin just as their daughter tumbled into the scene. A smile reached her ebony lips at the site of her silly doppelganger, her voice soft as she peered down at her cerulean gaze. Hello darling, time to be serious now. Listen up.

Her mismatched gaze glancing at Nikolai, You and your sister will watch the adults for now, especially with such a large prey. You need to pay attention and watch what we do. Both of you also must stay behind us away from the herd and we will tell you when it is safe to come close. Okay? Once she received confirmation that both of her children understood her, the Rye beta turned to the rest of the hunting group.

Sphinx and Risaela, you both will help Jessie run and tire out the bull, guiding him to where Laike, Deacon and I will be waiting on the edge of the woods a mile or two to the west to finish and take him down. Work together, letting one rest momentarily while another takes the lead. Mismatched gaze turned to the men. We too will work together to take him down.

And please for the Heavens, be careful... Letting her gaze look to all of them for moment before resting upon Laike last, knowing he understood what she meant. The Rye needed this meat after the coyotes desecrated the lands during their tirade, but she did not want to loss someone today to accomplish that. Letting a moment or two pass to allow for anyone to ask questions before she gave a nod to Jessie and the girls before turning towards the section of woods her and the men would wait.

Alvar was a bit bored, and was sick of waiting around to be told what to do, his paws itched and his mind was blurry with stress, he needed something enjoyable to clear his head. A walk he opted for, he decided to walk for the open lowlands, the morning air was crisp and clear, the sky covered with the clouds that shaded him from the harsh sunlight, his paws scratched on the ground as he walked forward, he felt that the time he spent in the pack had refined him a bit, made him less crazy and chaotic, more focused. He scoffed at this a bit, not sure whether to be happy he was finally able to fit in in a pack, or to be angry that he seemed to have lost that wildness, he growled angrily before telling himself to calm down, it was not worth dying to keep chaos and freedom as the most prevalent things in his life.

The life he once led felt almost ethereal and non-existent, he began to fret, he was scared he was losing himself, the world he now lived in was nice but too rigid, the others were far too structured and hierarchical and seemed to him to be too used to it to realize it. He grunted ad moved faster, but within a few moments he heard his and many other names being called from the lowlands by Adelayde, Cancer, Risalea, Sphinx, Jessie, Nikolai, Laike, Vasilia and several others, the call was for a hunt, and Alvar smiled devilishly and ran towards the sound of Adelayde calling out.

When he arrived he saw the others now beginning to split off, he guessed he was farthest away from Adealyde when she called out, he saw that they were headed to different sections of the woods, and decided to follow Adelayde, she would be able to give him the most info, this was her hunt after all.

When he got to her, he did not bother to wait, for her to tell him if he was allowed to hunt or not, instead he showed up and with a curt bow and a "Hello" asked... "What are we hunting and where do you want me?" He listened for her reply as he scanned around to get a sense of his bearings.

As Adelayde listed out their orders, Jessie gave a nod of acceptance at her task. There were no other wolves she would enjoy working with more than those that she considered her daughters. It was not long before the take down team set out for their task, did Alvar join them on the scene. Emerald eyes scanned the lowest for a moment before she spoke, "You can join us. Sphinx and I will be in charge of directing the rest of the herd away from the pack and ensuring it stays that way. You and Risaela will ensure that the bull," she indicating with her head the one that her second had picked out, "gets to the other team. Once Sphinx and I feel as if the rest of the herd is well enough away, we'll join you. As Adelayde said, be careful. They may be our prey, but they can pack a deadly blow to us as well." That had, ultimately, been where her husband's downhill spiral began. Jessie remained still for some time, allowing Laike, Deacon, and Adelayde to get where they needed to be before they started the hunt. "Alright. I think it's time. On my three." She glanced over at her daughter to ensure that she was ready before fixing her gaze back on the herd, "One, two...three." The Tainn rushed forward and let out a sharp bark, alerting the herd that there were not so alone on their grazing day. Jessie headed east, with the pure intentions of driving the rest of the herd away and allowing Alvar and Risaela to isolate the bull that Adelayde picked out for them.

Obviously Kisetra had arrived late to the party, however she managed to just catch what Adelayde had been saying to Nikolai and assumed that she would likely be expected to stay with the other children for this event. She quietly trotted over to Vasilisa, who had been on her back for some reason? "Hey, what are we doin' here? What's goin on?" Whatever it was, everyone seemed pretty pumped about it. Perhaps she'd be better off trying to show up on time from here on out.

Apparently now wasnt the time to play, but the young girl believed there was always time for a good laugh. So when her mother told her it was time to be serious she huffed and nearly rolled her eyes. She was tempted to stay upside down but knew better than to push it at a time like this. So she rolled over to listen to their instructions. They were to stay behind and watch what the adults did. "Okay mama" she agreed before nudging her brother for him to respond. Once things were understood the adults went their separate ways and Vasi rolled back onto her back and pawed at Niko with a laugh. It wasnt until Kiss came on the scene and asked what was going on did the youngest Artemieva sit back up. "The adults are doin a hunt. Mama says we're supposed to stay back and watch what they do. But we cant really see from here...lets get closer" she said before bounding in the direction that her parents went in. They said to watch from behind them...she was still listening and keeping her distance.

The sharp command from the Rye leader gave Alvar all the initiative he needed and more to dash forward alongside his packmates, He watched as the Jessie ran towards the East and barked at the herd, a separation tactic, run one part of the herd one way to make the intended target easier to find in the part left over.

Alvar ran with all his might and soon locked eyes on the bull and started to run to the side of it, He was ready to do his job, he hoped that Risalea was ready too...
