A WEAK MAN CAN ALWAYS BE FOUND IN A CROWD

Ferreiran was walking through the slowly dying grass without really thinking about where he was putting his paws. Suddenly, his paw dropped into the earth, and he stumbled. Lifting his paw out, the dark youth looked around. Oh, wow, he thought, amazed. There were burrows less than three feet away from each other, but the entire place was oddly silent. He would have expected something. There wasn't even a scent.

He looked down at the burrow his paw had fallen in, and decided to get a closer look at what was inside. Lowering himself until he was laying down, he slowly inched forward until his nose was tucked into the hole. The earthy scent filled his nose in a pleasant way. He still couldn't see anything though, so he kept moving, more and more of his muzzle being swallowed by the frozen ground.

BUT THE WISE MAN IS ALWAYS ALONE

Arcus Leigh
Arcus found the snow to be utterly charming. It was cold, but her coat was getting big and fluffy, and that was nice too. And she really shouldn’t be wandering off, she understood it might cause her mother some distress, but there was an added bonus to the snow slowly drifting to the ground – she left tracks behind her. Which meant that she could get back exactly to where Sahalie left her as quick as she could run.

Which was perfect!!

She had only been merrily moving along when she noticed a stranger and, having learned very little from the Wild Coyote Encounter, approached him with a happy bark. “Hey! What are you doing? You find somethin’ cool?”

Ferreiran Morse
A pup's unwary pawsteps behind him startled Ferreiran and he jolted his muzzle out of the burrow. The freezing air struck his bare nose. It had warmed a few degrees in the hole and hadn't adjusted quickly enough. Ignoring this, he called back to the pup, "Maybe!" He took a few steps, scanning the snow for a den big enough for the two of them. He couldn't leave the pup out in the cold if he was all snuggled up. It took a few moments of searching, but he found one.

"C'mere," he beckoned the pup. The entrance was small but would let them through and the inside, he was certain, would be more roomy. He crawled through the entryway and once inside, he found that his guess was correct. It was cozy but fit him with room to spare. He settled down, making space for the pup.
