Mountain of Dire run, don’t walk away

It’d been several days since her return to the Cove, and Star was doing a good job staying nearby. The reddish pup hummed as she traversed the rocky terrain, skilled paws silently gliding across the stony, icy ground. Nearing her yearling stage of life, Star had become well-versed in how to move on the mountain, and off of it. The wanderlust had hit her hard and her itchy paws were dying to take her everywhere she could find.

But she was good now. At least, for the moment, she was content to stick around where her pack was. She’d missed them, after all, and it felt nice to have their scent on her fur again.

Silvery green eyes scanned over the mountain as she reached a small rise, her tail wagging as she tilted her head into the wind, letting it blow her fur back.

It was a nice place.

Honeysuckle could not fathom how or why anyone would live here. Every time he saw the odd mountain goat he not only stayed clear of its path, but he also questioned why it had picked here of all places to roam. Unlike him, those horned creatures seemed content on staying here. This was merely a bump in his journey. He did not know enough to be able to go around the mountain or find anything that might take him through the monumental amount of stone.

He wasn't very trained in mountain climbing either though. That thoroughly explain his huffing and puffing when he reached a more leveled area. Oh? What was this? Someone else was here too! With his own small size, he truly could not tell the child-almost-teen apart from an adult.

"Hello? Hello!" He called out in an octave that seemed too high for a male his age. "Oh please tell me you know this place!"
