Sex: FemaleA little further now. Not too far. The coulee sloped up a little further up, the trees parting and the mists receding to give way to red rocks and hills. Sita wasn't particularly interested in climbing, but she would wander up a smidge just to see. Her paws slipped as they crunched through snow onto cold wet rock. That seemed unwise, possibly breaking a leg in a time like this.
She had an itch to hunt and it would probably be better satisfied back in the woods, about a mile at her back now. There ought to be something out here, though. Things burrowed in dirt around the bottom of the rocks. Winter-slow birds trying to survive, just like she was. Rabbits, certainly. Sita began to pull slowly through the snow, lifting her legs up high enough to keep the snow from crunching if she dragged her legs as she had been. Her ears were high, alert, listening for anything that was a bit more loose with its movements. Certainly there was something out here eager to soak up some sunlight before the night froze everything over again.
