Long speckled limbs knew not where they were headed as they traversed through foreign terrain that in a sense mirrored the woman's homeland, opting to exchange the hues of gold from the stalks of rye she remembered as a pup for that of soft pastels painted as far as the eye could see from wildflowers swaying their petals in the gentle breeze that blew about. Occasionally Sphinx would opt to take a small break here and there to dip her muzzle toward a grouping of flowers, treating her sense of smell with their delicate floral aroma.

It was during one such pause that Sphinx lifted her amber-hued gaze toward the sky above that offered its own painted masterpiece of colors, various shades of pinks and oranges clashing together in their common display signifying the setting of the sun and cloaking the world below in a rosy tint. This place was strikingly beautiful, almost beautiful enough to give the rye fields a run for their money. Alas, the day would soon be over though and with the onset of evening, the speckled woman knew it wouldn't be wise to be caught out in the open.

Thus the salt and peppered female trudged onward with some more umpf to her step, her paws following along a makeshift dirt trail that wove through the wildflowers, most likely the result of travelers that had come through these lands before her.

She was a dull sight in the wildflowers. Not that he thought she was ugly. She just...seemed so drab in comparison. Perhaps it complimented her, to be so swarthy and ashy in the momentarily lively place. Soon he imagined this field would be dead. Wilted and brown.

Regardless, he was far more impressed by just seeing another living wolf here. So he had no shyness in the way he cut his path towards her. A visible sight against the land if she looked his way. Although even if she didn't -

Hey! He beamed with a boyish brightness to his voice and features.

Do you live here?

Despite the vast openness and welcoming atmosphere of the flower fields and obvious signs; if one knew what they were looking for, that others had traveled through here, it would still catch Sphinx unaware that another much like herself was traversing through such terrain. Ever observant of her surroundings, the blurred silhouette of something on the horizon had caught her attention but the woman had paid it little mind until its course of trajectory shifted to eventually cross her own path of travel. What once was blurred eventually grew close enough for features to become detailed, the unmistakable silhouette of a wolf standing out starkly against the pastel floral shades.

Though probably not as drab in comparison, the approaching stranger was adorned in shades of dark tawny while sporting a lithe frame typically found on those that were adept at hunting. It was the introduction, though, that gave away this kid's age.

"Hey!"

Sphinx halted in her steps and offered a small nod of her head in greeting. "Hello." She spoke softly while listening closely to the question this youngster posed, responding with a small shake of her peppered head. " 'Fraid not."
