Description: Along the river, where the forest thickens, stone bedding breaks through and hints to the coming Daybreak Peaks. Captured in pools clustered at the banks of this particular stretch is water that tastes strong of minerals and is heated year-round. These natural hot springs attract prey and predator alike, especially in the winter when warmth is a precious commodity.

As much as he also felt drawn to protect them for it, the women and their stench made staying around the Ridge rather difficult for Clouse. Thankfully there was Hagar, who seemed trustable and strong enough to do what might be needed should any unsavory types come sniffing around for @Avella or @Rashina. This allowed him to take a few daytrips here and there, to get a break from the natural repulsion their heat brought to him as both a relative and a wolf who preferred the company of males.

This time he followed the creek, and was rewarded with an unexpected discovery. The water curved and the banks revealed around the bend were deformed with what looked to be rockpools, the likes of which had dotted the ocean's shores. He was drawn to them first by their appearance, and quickly noticed as the distance closed that they had to be naturally heated by the looks of the snow trying to creep close.

"No shit," he exclaimed under his breath, jogging the remaining yards until he was at the edge. The stones at the very edge of the steaming water were warm under his paws, and the air smelled thickly of minerals. Clouse closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and smiled. Paradise.
