Celestial Falls interlude

The scent and sound of fresh water masked almost all other things, especially in such close proximity to the waterfall. Both a benefit and a drawback, for it would help to disguise his presence, but also afford the same advantages to anyone else. However, given how relatively devoid of his kind these areas had seemed, the wanderer did not fancy himself overly concerned.

He permitted himself to pause and study the shimmering pool and the waterfall beyond, illuminated by the moon and the many countless stars above. Something of a rarity, a thing as beautiful as this to behold amidst his wandering.

Tentatively, Jadon perched himself atop a stone and then lay down flat upon it. The night was still young. He had time to soak in the scenery. To relax, and enjoy this place, though his attention was drawn ever upward.

He could see, from here, the dark silhouette of a mountain. That was where he wanted to go.
